Not great, but not horrible, though I live in an expensive area, so the majority of my paycheck goes just to mortgage, food, and necessities.
Pretty good. I try to spend as little as I can. Food is my biggest monthly bill.
The one thing I can’t stop buying too much of are books, but I frequent thrift stores, used bookstores, and library bookshops, so the books are usually $1-2.50 and I borrow as much as I can from the library.
I think I’m fairly good with money.
I weigh almost all my purchases, I’m mindful to not buy too much small things. As we say in Sweden “it usually runs away”, meaning many small things/purchases can easily and quickly become a lot.
I try to choose quality items so that they last longer than cheap ones but I get cheap ones when it doesn’t really matter, like hairties or bobbypins.
When I can I save whatever is left at the end of the month.
Not bad on the whole, but every once in a while I do something spectacularly stupid.
Terrible. But I’m ok at making it, so it masks a lot.
That’s my position. I let SO handle the household finances.
Pretty good all things considered. My husband and I are both in STEM fields, and we have a similarly frugal attitude to spending and saving. We’re on track to an early retirement in our mid 40s.
