We often find it hard to allow ourselves good things, or think we’re not worthy of them. But we do deserve them!

Instead of thinking of reasons we don’t deserve things, lets think differently. Why do you deserve good things?

I wasn’t buying myself jewelry because of something someone said to me once.

There was a blowout sale a few weeks ago at a department store that was going out of business. I couldn’t say no to 70% off so I bought myself some damn jewelry.

Now I just need to convince myself I deserve to wear it. Baby steps.

Writing this out made me think about how the things people say to us can really become our own inner dialog about ourselves.

I have a long inseam and yet one of my exes told me I have “stubby legs” and that’s all I see when I look in the mirror. That was also when I was in the best shape of my life. Good grief, what an asshole. Good riddance!

Absolutely with you on that, one of my exes told me that flirting while doing my favourite sociable hobby would be creepy and spoil it for other people … I took that on board for some reason, even though we had met by her flirting with me doing that same hobby.

Long story short - wear your jewelry, I bet it looks awesome :-)
