A very nice sounding combination. Could have profited from some scoops of pastawater to the pan in the end there, to make it just a bit more juicy. Or perhaps it is just the photo making it look a bit dry and too reduced.
Rothe@piefed.socialto Fediverse memes@feddit.uk•Lately Lemmy.world feels a bit...English2·12 days agoWell, that is exactly the point of the fediverse. You don’t have to have a lemmy.world account to see lemmy.world content. I am not even on lemmy but on piefed, and I see lemmy.world content perfectly fine without any server drag. Runs smooth and fast.
Ah, dice lawyering.
You just took that strawman and ran all the way with it, didn’t you?
A lot of people didn’t get your reference it seems.
Rothe@piefed.socialto Cooking @lemmy.world•Bread, cheese, pesto, 18 year old barley wineEnglish1·21 days agoBelgian ales, especially triples and quadruples, needs a couple of years of aging as well. But I wouldn’t let it age past 5-6 years. I find that all ale, not matter how strong, just turns into portwine when aged longer than that.
I mean it is fine if you are into that, but I prefer my beer to taste like beer.

The full beard he wore after visiting Turkey was an eccentricity in 18th century Europe.
Rothe@piefed.socialtoMicroblog Memes@lemmy.world•There's just no way to know. 🤷🏼♂️English37·1 month agoI remember when that was revealed back before the election in 2016, I truly thought that would be the end of him. But instead his supporters doubled down, wore “grab me by my pussy” t-shirts and so on. That is when it started to dawn on me that something was going on that was radically different from previous elections. American right wing ideology had finally solidified into a genuine cult, after decades, centuries of failed attempts.

There is literal god approven genocide for example.
A fascinating primary source is the Periplus of the Erythraean Sea(link to a complete translation in the article).
That is the wrong interpretation though. It is the person in the house pretending to have friends when the pizza delivery guy arrives.
They never believed in any of that. They pretended to because that is what they felt was necessary in order to keep their grift going, but Trump has shown them that they don’t have to pretend anymore. They can openly grift and their voters will love them for it.
That is not what the OP is about though.
Rothe@piefed.socialto Linux@programming.dev•Looking back at my transition from Windows to Linux in an anti-customer ageEnglish1·1 month agograb another disk and try dual booting and poking around.
Yeah, that is what I have decided to do. Not least just to test how compatible my hardware is. I may need a new GPU since my current one is nvidia, but as far as I understand it, it may still be able to run.
Rothe@piefed.socialto Linux@programming.dev•Looking back at my transition from Windows to Linux in an anti-customer ageEnglish161·1 month agoIf you are a power user like me, Linux is getting closer to a real alternative to Windows
As someone who is on the verge of making the switch to linux, it is a bit daunting that linux is presented as only “getting closer” and not actually being a real alternative to Windows.
The heavy censorship needed to convey completely basic words is probably another good indicator.
