Man, that kind of switch really rubs me the wrong way.

Infinite tape loops are quite the rabbit hole to venture down. Hainbach was the one that started my journey.

This design wouldn’t be able to record more than a couple of seconds IMO because the reel cage is blocking where the tape could be fed back in like 8 tracks do. To be honest I KNOW how 8 tracks work but it still feels like a bit of black magic to me. The design just feels like it shouldn’t work and should get jammed constantly.

Even though the device says “Tape” on it the miniscule thickness of the cartridge makes me think some thing like a high density floppy disk is more likely.

oh man, I absolutely love the bachans yuzu sauce. it’s tangy slightly citrusy with just a touch of spicyness to it. It’s one of those sauces like Yum Yum, Chick-fil-A Polynesian, Thousand Island, or Maple Mustard that if I wasn’t supervised I would probably be putting on everything within reach just to see what’s good together.

A key thing to take from this is that we MIGHT have destroyed the only life we have found SO FAR. There is a LOT of Mars to explorer and we haven’t even left the landing sight when looking at the surface of the planet as a whole. Exploration and science will never be perfectly clean. If there is life we will find it at some point.

Good for them! My union did massively right by me so far and as far as I am aware there have been zero downsides.

it’s curious that they posture the reasoning is to make them appear brighter at night. Feels like the opposite of what you would want in a predator/prey environment.

Space is so vast and so incredibly empty it’s a wonder we see anything at all.

Really interesting for an idea but it feels like it’s missing the control aspect of these same test subjects being measured for the same things in an environment seperate from the music.

Gather any significant amount of people and I feel you would find a large preportion of patterns in breathing rates, skin conductivity etc. Statistical averages and all that.

Would also be interested in seeing this performed for different genres of music: folk, rock, hip hop, metal, ambient etc.

I love this kind of news. Wish it happened more.
