Edit: it’s easy to say Stefan was the idiot here, but he’s some 20 year old kid that’s built only 4 PCs at this point. The editing, continuity errors, etc were all the Verge management. The fact that a tech news company has no one that knows how to build a PC is mind boggling. Then it was sponsored by Capital one…
After the Stephen catastrophe, I can never read the Verge without thinking how utterly inept they are.
Age is not a factor. Your ability to learn is
Having similar issues. Probably applied for 500 jobs in the last 3 months. 2 interviews. I have 20 years experience and have built my own MVC PHP framework.
I’m literally overqualified for most of these jobs.
I did find that rebuilding my resume to be more modern (ai friendly) really increased my resume views etc. but still nothing
This is a hard lesson to learn. From now on, my guess is you will have dozens of backups.
Maybe try a different game? Some communities are just way more toxic than others.
Battle bits is a good example of what a mostly non toxic community is like.
Bf2042 isn’t toxic because you can no longer communicate with the other team, so no one even talks in chat at all.
Squad and Arma are filled with mature gamers and practically no toxicity.
Or you can just mute everyone at the start like I do in Apex. They never use the mic for communication, only to bitch and moan after they die doing something stupid. So it’s no loss. Or you can get friends, hook up on discord or similar and ignore everyone else
Yes. And don’t expect to get your deposit back. Hired professional cleaners at an apartment with landlords like this one, they still kept the deposit because we accidentally left $300 of brand new cookware behind, which they stole along with my deposit. Also remember to leave a review when you move
Yep. I played Apex Legends since day one. About 2 years ago I discovered that on PopOS, it ran at 1440p, no upscaling, and was 20 to 25% faster with almost zero stutter.
It was a huge jump in stability and made the game enjoyable to play.
I quit playing about a year ago, but I will never go back to playing it on windows. So I guess that means I can no longer play Apex.
