Just expecting someone to put up as server for you and leave it up forever is fantasy thinking. Doing it yourself can involve teaming up with people to launch instances or pay for service. The people who don’t pay it forward and contribute are leeches, not community members.

The issue isn’t that it doesn’t persist (because it does), but that the community and potential for new content from that space is now gone.
