They have some requirements though
In a written statement, Gustav Lützhøft, Head of Culture, Debate, and Music at DR, underlined that Denmark supports Eurovision as a cultural event that has brought nations together through music since 1956. According to him, Denmark’s participation is contingent upon three factors: a strong international community within the contest, sufficient safety measures, and the preservation of Eurovision as an apolitical event:
Denmark’s participation is neither an endorsement of nor a protest against individual countries. Our commitment lies in upholding the sense of community that Eurovision represents. In times of division and uncertainty, it is worth remembering the contest’s original purpose: to create a space where people can meet across differences and disagreements. That is the spirit we wish to preserve.
Differences and disagreements occur over where we should have pizza or sushi.
One government terraplanning an entire country and slaughtering women and children is not debatable, it should be actionable.
I mean, those Palestinian people really should start overlooking their disagreements and make compromise with Israel. Why are they so bound to live where Israel wants to build new illegal settlements?
