Hopefully Russia ceases their invasion soon then. They could have ended it any time they wanted, but for some reason, they insist on keeping their “three-day, special military operation” going.
I’m rooting for peace. Hopefully, Russia comes around.
Hello, tone-policing genocide-defender and/or carnist 👋
Instead of being mad about words, maybe you should think about why the words bother you more than the injustice they describe.
Have a day!

God damn it.
Eww… You’re right. What a waste.
Yes. The US is also authoritarian. Yes, there is a clear media bias when it comes to the headlines that western media outlets are willing to run. In particular, painting non-western countries as more authoritarian than the US (which is sometimes true).
It’s valuable to point this out. Dog knows the shitty media bias bots used in other communities won’t.
However, the overall tone of your comment seems to suggest that it’s okay for non-western governments to do authoritarian bullshit, just because the US does. I trust that wasn’t the point of your comment, but I assume that’s why some may not take kindly to it.
For what it’s worth: my instance disables down votes, so I literally can’t down vote posts I disagree with.
We built Haptic to make markdown writing simpler and more accessible. We believe that many existing editors are too complex for simple use cases and day-to-day note writing, so we decided to fix that.
Ready to Use: Open Haptic and start writing. No setup needed.
Simple Design: Clean interface so you can focus on your writing.
Write Anywhere: Use Haptic on any computer with internet. Great for public or work computers where you can’t download software.
Made for Everyone: If other editors feel overwhelming, you’ll like Haptic.
Open Source: Self-host your own instance, giving you full control over your setup.
Haptic is all about making writing easier. We’ve left out extra features to keep things simple and help you get your ideas down without fuss.
Note: If you’re looking for a markdown editor with plugin systems, complex setups, or feature-packed interfaces, Haptic might not be for you. But if you want something straightforward that just works, give Haptic a try!
Google has a disproportionate and overwhelming say in AOSP. What do you think Lineage OS is based on?
When Google makes API changes to Android, it hurts AOSP too. Can the devs try to maintain the legacy API on their own? Sure, but it’s extra effort, so it’s usually not something you can count on.

This is more usable than browsh, in my experience, but has the very unfortunate downside of being based on Chromium (🤢)
Does anyone know of this gets us closer to having a working software KVM solution with Wayland?
I’ve tried Synergy, Input Leap, and Waynergy, but nothing seems to work, unfortunately.
KeePaasium is what you use for Apple devices (macOS and iOS. Unfortunately, it’s a paid app, but you can enroll in the beta program to get it for free.
In what way? I thought it was just an alternative client for Signal.
This is wrong. I run Bazzite and have transfered my FF profile over without issue. The Ublue “distros” just use the FF flatpak. You can follow the same instructions as you would on any other distro to move your FF profile with the flatpak version.

Lobby your government to nationalize it. Anything that important can’t be left to private industry.
Why are you being so obtuse? Yes, the repercussions for losing to Nintendo in court are life-ruining. I said that already.
However, continuing to let Nintendo DMCA legitimate emulation projects isn’t good in the long-term either and only stalls progress for the targeted projects.
The only way to “win” this fight is to win in court. I’m not saying that any dev should be compelled against their will to do so. It’s just the only way to actually make progress. This isn’t a technical problem; it’s a legal one.
Gamers are only capable of remembering these things right up until the next first-party exclusive and new console gets announced. Then, it’s right back to opening their wallets for these fuckers.
The only way to truly win this fight is for the devs to face potentially life-ruining circumstances to fight it in court. Until then, Nintendo will continue harassing devs and killing the development progress of emulators.
There are suitable alternatives listed in other comments, but it is worth noting that none of them will support the proprietary YubiKey authentication protocol.
This isn’t a big deal if all of the applications you want to use it with support FIDO2/WebAuthn authentication, but YubiKeys support both.
This contributes nothing to the conversation and comes off as conspiratorial.
That’s an interesting way of framing Russia ending the world in a nuclear holocaust because Ukraine didn’t want to be a part of Russia’s sphere of influence.
It would be best for everyone if Russia would stop the escalation, and I hope they do. If not, we have to find a better solution to imperialism than appeasement, because that doesn’t work long-term either.
