Yeah, Doc, I’m not sure what’s wrong with me, but it seems like I have an early breakfast or a late dinner…

One was a military base and entering one part of a big open yard would open several doors with zombies aggro’d to the player. Another was the tier 5 prison that had several spawn triggers. However, before the trigger, no zombies were spawned in so they couldn’t just be picked off. I never saw a visible trigger anywhere in my playthroughs.
I had tons of hours in it. In either a19 or a20, they added these dumb triggers that just spawn an entire world of zombies or open a set of doors with the zombies aggro’d to the player already effectively killing stealth. Worse, there’s no way to know about any of this until you’re in the POI and getting obliterated. I haven’t touched the game since them and was quite angry.
In at least parts of northern Japan, a lot are set at 90 degrees to each other so wind doesn’t blow straight in (along with the snow/dirt)
I always said “in GIN icks” (gin like the alcohol) based on someone else’s pronunciation years ago. I never realized it was meant to have anything to do with “engine” as a result.

I do Rust and Go and VSCode has been fine for both so far. I put off trying it for ages out of a hatred/distrust of MS products, but I’m quite happy with it.
I never learnt them and don’t remember seeing them, but that’s neat :)
What, you don’t place a wrench in the middle of all your communications for safety? heh, I shouldn’t post whilst tired.
'cause it’s a tubular word, doy. (and for a brief moment, I was a kid in the '80s again)
Something expensive is spendy.
My dictionary doesn’t think so, heh. Webster seems to say “chiefly Northwestern US” so that may explain it. I remember rolling my eyes and thinking that it sounded like something a self-important jackass would say. (edit: the first time I heard it, I mean).
I don’t think I’d ever use it, but I also don’t see it as weird or wrong anymore. Melty is fine. Slippy still grates on me a bit, but I can let it slide.
Definitely both exist in Japanese and they are used fairly frequently.

Certain registers of a language do have different rules, but those also change and are still kinda whatever that part of society agrees with. Business letters that I learned to write in gradeschool in the '80s aren’t necessarily the same as I would write or expect to receive today. Ubiquitous, fast electronic communication also through a wrench into things a bit.
I’m a native US English speaker. I would only ever say

Some N greater than zero, though probably at least two unless you’re inventing a language/dialect on your own.
I mostly just had the alt+whatever codes memorized when I was typing French or German, but I didn’t always have a numpad when I was using laptops away from home. I just ended up using charmap and never realized newer windows had any replacement (although I’m on mac for work and also use linux for both work and some home stuff now as well so not spending as much time in Windows).
Failing that win+r and type
charmap

This is mostly why I still also vote.
Neither? I am more wary after the launch of 6 and the issues, but I also say ‘neither’ because I’m simply not in the market for a new device.
