I’ve never gotten one until today. An irl friend in another time zone hit midnight first and got served the skippable ad. Then my SO and I both got one at midnight even though I checked Wordle a couple hours before. This led me to think it was set to roll out at midnight local device time, but I guess not!

Anyone get an ad? Pretty clever to get people on a streak and banking on streak addiction to get ad revenue. I loathe ads so I went to browser, which still made me wait. I’ll probably keep doing that, but I can also see myself forgetting and stopping Wordle again.

Sad, but things must always get worse.

How fucking stupid.

Resorts World said the latest policy was established “in light of recent events in Las Vegas, and the increasing ransomware threats to casinos and hotels on the Strip,”

Hard to see this absurd invasion of privacy as being for anything but that last bit. Hope this results in significantly fewer guests, but it feels like the vote-with-your-wallet part of capitalism stopped working some time ago.

Huh. I’ve been to all of those but Yokosuka, some as recently as a few months ago but also pre 2023, and I’ve found that almost everything I go to took card. I wonder if we somehow happen to only go to places that do/don’t take card and thus have totally different experiences with cash only.

And yeah the toilets are great. Toto sells them in the US if you’re based here. A little expensive, but if you’re gonna live at your current place for a long time, it’s probably worth it.

The bar sounds awesome, sheesh. That’s the cheapest tab of that size I’ve ever heard of. I buy most of my things while I’m there due to pricing, and even then I’m shocked at how damn cheap that is haha
