I never use these apps, I just don’t trust them at all. In a world of cyber security worries, we put all of our financial info on an app and a phone and expect everything to be safe. I’m just old school. Safety over convenience… as I am In an uber. Lol

I just put them on the front porch, and it works well

I am in NY, so during the warm months I bring them outside and in the sun, when it gets cold, I bring them inside and the growth process usually stalls.

Good Luck. I had a plant that I brought inside for the cold weather, all of the leaves fell off - it was a succulent - so it looked dead. I saw 1 small green branch, so I put it outside, now that it is warm, to see if anything happens. Low and behold - it’s growing leaves! So don’t give up
