Disabling JavaScript is pretty easy, use NoScript ! Then you can selectively allow just a few scripts, plus it’s fun to find out how few you can let run on each page.

The answer is simple : I don’t play DnD. Mostly Naheulbeuk (where the fights are hilarious so I don’t mind) and call of Cthulhu (where fighting often just kills you immediately anyway)

That slogan is whack though. I suggest “Go fasc, go crash !” instead. (Pronounced “go fash”, as in “fascist”)

But I can make my own thanks to the absence of DRM. I’ll be able to play my personal copy offline in 15 years.

I am. I just mostly buy my games on GOG.

We have been living in a post-scarcity world for at least half a century, but because of wealth hoarders, we still suffer and toil.

I always do “every non-combat skill, useless in combat”, which is absolutely infuriating with beginner DMs because all they prepared is combat encounters and I have nothing to do 😭

Look, if I wanted to fight, I’d go play a video game. I’m here for the part video games cannot give me, and that’s talking to a real person and coming up with rube-goldberg solutions to solve problems without shedding blood 😆

If I could stay at home 100% of the time, I would. More accurately perhaps, if I could spend 100% of my time alone that would be great, inside or outside.

My home is my castle. It has all the comfortable armchairs, my books, my video games… everything is under my control and that’s how I like it.

There is a correct way to do that but no one does it :

• Sell items for real currency directly
• No loot boxes
• No time limits, including battle passes. All items are always available for purchase.
• Every item purchasable individually outside of any bundle
• And of course, reasonable prices.

The placement feels random. Centered vertically close to the fly edge would have looked way better, and marred the flag exactly as little.

I don’t know about you but I think there’s only two valid “economic models” for video games :

• ongoing subscription for MMOs specifically
• one-time purchase for every other game

Everyone cares about aesthetics. “I don’t care about aesthetics” is itself an aesthetic.

Your looks are part of your personality, we’re not talking about how pretty you are here ; we’re talking about what you express with you looks.

And what a white t-shirt and jeans expresses is “I’m boring”, or more charitably “I’m normal”. People looking to date look for someone who stands out to them, without being too weird either.

I know that. The problem is that so many men have a “protective layer” you have to pry open to get to know who they really are underneath, and that’s exhausting.

Fair enough ! If you have an interesting personality that works, but it’s always easier to also show it instead of just telling.

That is cool, however, they probably could have done a better job than just sticking their flower on top and calling it a day 😅

This how it has always been here in France, afaik, and when I was in school a decade ago it worked very well. Hopefully still does !
