There really are few good math instructors out there. They tend to be those who have intuitions about the subject who can’t interact with people who weren’t born with them.

We’ll surely get faster. Remember that Voyager 1 actually made a pass around one of the planets (Jupiter?) specifically to slow it down so that it could start gathering data. It would not be (relatively speaking) hard to send something out at a far greater velocity.
No documentation, imagine! The original designers–dead. This person had to reverse engineer every aspect of that system, though I can’t imagine that it has more than, say, 64KB of RAM. Still an enormous amount of work but not like trying to figure out how an iPhone works without any documentation.
As someone who has hired lots of CS students, the successful ones tend to:
-Have a public GIT repo where they have all of their personal and class projects publicly available. You put this on your resume and potential employers can browse at leisure.
-Have done a student group like robotics or satellite club.
-Have interned somewhere with a name. Doesn’t matter what the job is, just get that name on your resume. Sadly, what you know and can do is less important than where you interned and overworked or unmotivated hiring managers really need bullet points that they can grab on to and then move on.
My previous office was in a set of partitions put up in a library 20 years ago as a temporary measure.
My university requires two for the CS program, as I recall.

I’m afraid that this was obvious. People came in wanting to be angry.
You expect too much. They couldn’t see anything beyond their outrage.
Yep. At max a university will take back its investment amount so that they can operationalize this sort of activity.
It’s a public institution. They aren’t making a profit on this. They do have a right to control their intellectual property, however.
Apparently people can’t read and for some reason decided that you’re anti vax.
You realize that they don’t believe that and are talking about anti vaxxers? People are being very obtuse and uncharitable.
This is only an issue because of the obscene way that schools are funded in the US. If they were funded like the police are, then there’d be no trouble.
Huh, sounds like some school bonds are on the horizon. Nice.
It’s basically the new IBM.
But it seems that it’s actually built in to some part of their software so Microsoft is still responsible as a whole.
I don’t get why they don’t propose a fix themselves.
That seems to be the consensus.
Good luck!
