Empathy, as always, is the real problem with the GOP. They are perfectly fine when it’s immigrants, liberals, gays, brown people, etc that suffer these laws. When angry white people get affected, then they are suddenly sad about it and suddenly were the whole time.
You were failed by people who didn’t help you learn intuitions and instead caused you to focus on memorization.
Yeah pre-calc is pretty much remedial math nowadays. You don’t even get 100 level math until you’re at intermediate algebra!
Thinking of it in terms of statistics makes a lot of sense, I can see how this problem would help develop intuitions.
This is my first time seeing this problem. Interesting that they taught it in school.
I played this game back in like 2001-2002. Can’t believe it’s still going.
I think the point is that it doesn’t matter how you got it, you still have an ethical responsibility to protect PII/PHI.
Yeah. The one I did may not exist anymore but they are others. I think I just used a lot of web searches.
There are some comprehensive torrents that just have everything but it’ll take you ages to download it all. I managed to get the entire collection about ten years ago and just added new releases as they dropped.
I work in IT but understood little of that. Thanks for sharing though.
ETA: heck, you can’t see comments in reader view. I was lost until opening in safari.
They had CRC back then, so at least something rudimentary must be in place.
I wonder if this is also a regional thing. I can’t recall having someone respond with an mmhmm. Perhaps it’s pretty pervasive in other places.
My typical response was always to well-wish. “Take care” “Have a nice evening” “Happy Friday” Whatever.
This is every bit a “kids these days” article. You hit it on the nose–it’s a generational shift and older people are clutching at pearls. For funsies, there’s a piece of ancient Roman writing I came across when studying classics (I’m sorry that I don’t recall who it was) that said essentially “young people don’t speak Latin right”. This is basically a thing as old as time.
This is the most non-issue article I’ve seen in a long time. We’re apparently seeing a language shift between generations and the argument really comes down to “kids these days”. If retailers thought this was important, they’d set a policy on it.
“Corporate shrill”. Why was it necessary to make it personal?
My point is that you can’t expect companies to do good things. Valve seems to be an exception.
Also you have to admit that the title frames it like a complaint. Top post points this out
I can understand wanting mods, but at the same time, it’s not like you can open your iPhone without damaging it in the process. I guess I want to say that I can get why people would want to add stuff to their thing, but I don’t see why someone would expect Valve to have accounted for that.
Are people continually opening their steam decks? I am confused at the opportunity to have stripped screws and dethreaded holes.
the OG keyboard, how is it?
And recently India too. There’s a hacking for hire scandal going on beyond just this incident. Worse: it was Indians hacking Indian journalists using Israeli spyware.
