I had no trouble recognizing him.

I used 3d printing to make custom screw covers. Looks like that IKEA piece could use some, too!
I’ve only used prusa slicer, which is what it looks like OP is using, and it results in printing perimeters first, then inside.
… I’m shocked. I thought all development on subsonic had dried up. I used it and dsub for literal years, but switched to Plex after it seemed I was paying for nothing. :(
Uncertain software support is why I picked a P8p over that device, even when I prefer it’s hardware over the P8p.
I heard a reliable rumor that the Asus handheld was supposed to be essentially that, but Microsoft dropped the ball with the OS support
It’s believable. If 25% of the warrants they receive are for location data, there is a shed load of money to be saved by simply not storing it.
Probably simple math, whether or not the stored location data is more valuable than the cost of legal compliance.
I haven’t heard they break easy. What more can you share?
I think CDPR upscaled this design for Cyberpunk 2077
True in technicality, but in practice—at least for Truthear—the firmware update changes functionality (and you can swap back) but doesn’t actually “update” anything. And no, they haven’t released any new firmware in a while, let alone since the P8 launch.
Well, yeah. Maybe that was part of the problem? I don’t know.
I’m really glad it’s working out for you. I have mine still all set up, using the hue hub, but I’m not sure I have a real compelling need to use anything HA offers, yet. It just sits there.
I looked online and resetting the bulbs seemed to require a special dimmer switch or something? It doesn’t appear to be possible with just the bulb.
I had trouble resetting the bulbs. Pairing seemed random, though perhaps that’s because resetting was random. Also, the need for an mqtt broker was not intuitive. Overall, the entire process was more complicated than ZHA.
P.s. what is that paid android app??
Oh my! That’s the one thing I didn’t seriously try: flashing new firmware on the Sonoff dongle. I briefly looked into it, but I was having so much other trouble by that point it seemed futile.
That you seriously needed to perform this step is just awful. I’m so sorry!
That’s simultaneously encouraging and discouraging to hear!
Same. When I bought mine, I didn’t know or realize what I was doing. That was like 7 years ago, though.
Did you get the “P” or “E” dongle? I heard the “P” one has better compatibility with z2m–which is why I got that one–but the “E” one may have a stronger wireless signal?
I really appreciate this comment. I didn’t have this knowledge or perspective. Thanks for sharing. I’ll be patient.
I saw a lot of negative comments in a YouTube thread. I only played the OG once, so perhaps it’s not sacred enough to me, but what I saw looked good.
P.s. when I completed my first playthrough, it was in 2021. My experience is that the original is not as good, now—compared to modern games and storytelling—than rose-colored glasses might suggest.
