Bees literally do not use hexagons, they make roughly round shapes and the force of the surrounding cells compresses them into hexagons. This is called self-organization and it’s observable in bubbles as well.

If it’s managed to work for you, incredible, you are very lucky, but that’s such bad general group advice. The key to groups staying together long term is picking a day and being consistent with it.
sexybenfranklin@ttrpg.networkto rpg@ttrpg.network•Ttrpg in the night-time econonmy: where can a group get a table in public at night?English4·2 months agoTo be fair, in the lemmy interface this looks like a text post with a random neocities link included, as opposed to a link post. Also, the url is just for page 75 of that site, which nothing is inherently wrong with it, but it doesn’t really give context clues to what the link has to do with the question.

sexybenfranklin@ttrpg.networkto rpg@ttrpg.network•Exclusive: Discworld TTRPG in the works by studio behind Fallout wargamesEnglish4·1 year agoI’d be very surprised if Modiphius did anything other than 2d20 here, it’s their in-house system and I can’t think of a single RPG they’ve put out since the original A!C that doesn’t use it. It’s not exactly surprising that Games Radar wouldn’t know this, but it’s still funny.

No one wanted to use them because they were so involved, but they were thematic, allowed different player builds to shine, and had the possibility to be faster and/or cheaper, if you got lucky.

(obsolete)English1·2 years agoDude, that looks rough as hell compared to any resin print. I don’t get why some people just have to cope so hard over this, resin is just better for detail, it’s not a comment on your print skills or whatever.
sexybenfranklin@ttrpg.networkto rpg@ttrpg.network•Chronomutants devlog: Forging Onward From the DarkEnglish2·2 years agoI know a lot of grogs are gonna get salty about this but using dice apps is fine especially for things like fantasy flight dice. And there are people on Etsy selling knockoffs. So you shouldn’t feel bad about publishing a game using those dice. Let’s be real, most of the market is people who won’t play anything unless it says 5e on it
I mean, I think “very” in the title is a stretch. It’s Pathfinder 2e’s feat-centric system but without multiclass restrictions. Which is fine, but Wildsea did it better and doesn’t encumber you with levels (though I have problems with its advancement system).
Very much a “Wow, Brandon Sanderson. I guess I hadn’t ever thought about leveling in that specific way before.” moment. Nothing really revolutionary unless you locked yourself in the D&D dungeon already.
