The Build Mode features in 4 are pretty good if you’re into virtual dollhouse building, and there’s a ton of custom content for it (as long as you’re on PC).
Live Mode is not very good, but it’s functional enough to play dolls in the houses you built if you’re willing to do all the story writing to make up for sims not having very interesting personalities/desires/autonomy.
“We are trying to reach you about your car’s extended warranty.”
It is part of the main gameplay loop. In order to keep your car in a state where it protects you and is reasonably driveable, you must gather materials to craft repair items and replacement parts, in order to maintain the car’s panels, doors, and bumpers (which together function as armor), its wheels (which are necessary to get anywhere), and the various add-on systems you can craft for it. Tools gradually break with use, so you’ll also craft replacement tools, which are mostly for scavenging materials or interacting with stuff in the Zone.
By collecting a certain resource you gradually unlock upgraded parts and tools for crafting, which is the main way player power progresses during the game.
This is my second favorite solution!
My favorite solution is fireball.
In Oldschool Runescape it’s pretty common to see characters that are just blatantly bots. If they had plausible usernames and picked a random appearance it wouldn’t even be that obvious, because it’s a whole game about repetitive actions, but a lot of them have the default appearance and gibberish names.
Botting is sort of a different problem because it’s often related to real-money trading, so there’s a more obvious incentive to cheat: running bots generates gold that can be sold for cash.
In addition to that, many people run bots as a sort of side hustle, either to fund their main or just to fund more bots. And I suspect many people use scripts to automate tedious tasks on their main accounts as well, although that would be hard to notice unless you directly interacted with them while they were AFK.
My last character who was getting well known in the local area was also well known for blowing his gold on booze and gambling at every available opportunity, which is a good way to deter the money-seekers!
Don’t you press R1 when your attack hits to pull the trigger for extra damage? You do use the revolver part, just only in close combat.
Or did I hallucinate that? It’s been over 20 years since I played it.
Ginkgo don’t have flowers. They’re older than flowers.
Oof. Wasn’t this the one that was going to have in-depth object customization? I was looking forward to it from a dollhouse-building perspective. Even if it wasn’t great, having some competition might convince EA to allocate more dev resources to the Sims, which has ruthlessly embraced the “minimum viable product” philosophy for a long time.
As a Blood Mage sympathizer, I say we let Solas cook!
So what are we expecting to see in June?
This seems like the last chance to announce a Switch release for Metroid Prime 4. If we don’t see it, I’ll assume it was pushed to the next console.
I thought the rumors of a remake for Fire Emblem: Genealogy of the Holy War sounded likely. FE 4 and 5 have both never been remade and never officially been made available in English, but 4 is popular in Japan and Sigurd had a relatively prominent role in Engage compared to most of the other Emblems. However, we haven’t heard anything about it, so if we don’t hear about it in June I’ll assume they aren’t doing it.
Is that bad? I love almond milk but I feel like it deserves its own word. :P
I would think this was cute. It’s low-stakes, playful boundary pushing that indicates flirtatious interest.
It’s quite good. If you’re looking specifically for aliens, you’ll enjoy the second trilogy (Brightness Reef, Heaven’s Reach, Infinity’s Shore) which is set on a planet where members of various species are attempting to live together outside the structure of galactic society.
I like Sundiver even though it isn’t very much like the rest of the series. I’d say check it out, and if it doesn’t grab you just move on to Startide Rising. Skipping straight to Brightness Reef will also work.
Very cool! I’m looking forward to it, but it also seems like the first expac that I might not want to enable for every playthrough, which is interesting—I wonder if we’ll see more of these themed packs going forward.
Koala: I will adapt to a niche with no competition to secure a permanent* food source for my lineage!
*Permanence not guaranteed.
Thank you, I just drunkenly impulse bought this, gonna be so psyched when it shows up and I forgot about it ^^;;
I can’t believe how many otherwise seemingly reasonable people are still involved in the MTG and D&D content ecosystems after Hasbro hired the fucking Pinkertons to threaten a Youtuber. How little self respect do they have? Promote a game that isn’t made by someone who would send thugs to your house!
