My absolute favorite AC game. My wife just got me Sideshow’s Edward Animus statue for my birthday. It’s stunning.

I got to see Snoop and Wiz Khalifa at the Jones Beach Amphitheatre in 2016 or 17 (thanks to VetTix).

I was one of the oldest people there and still thought it was fucking amazing.

I’ve been on my project for 23 years. I haven’t written production code for ten of those years. There are still commits in the production branch with my name on them. Is both gratifying and mortifying.

I have read through book 10 twice. I have listened through book 10 once (currently half way through).

While I love Horatio Hornblower, I love Honor more.

I do not read science fiction. It’s just not my thing, but when War of Honor was published, Baen published it with a CD of all the prior books bound into the cover. I thought this was a cool thing to do and wanted to support it, so bought the book with no intention of actually reading it.

Well that plan didn’t work out.

You’ll discover as you get deeper into the series that even Honor knows she’s literarily related to Hornblower.

This relationship can be saved as long as the guy’s wife does not start expressing an interest in Emacs. That would, of course, put an end to the relationship, but if she’s one of those “Notepad is all I need” types, there is hope this can be worked through.

Yeah it does pretty well. I’ve got about 800 miles on it, so still kinda in break-in period.

Prior to this one I had a 2020 GLI, but that one has the DSG. There’s a lot to be said for the DSG, but I really missed shifting my own.

Prior to that I had a 2006 GTI which may be my favorite car ever, though it is a close race with my 1989 Thunderbird Turbo Coupe.
