Based on several videos I’ve seen in the past Ecosia is mostly greenwashing. Not sure if they recently changed something in their business practices but apparantly they planted vast amount of monoculture trees in relatively small areas. Thus, the majority of the trees just died due to lack of light, water and nutrients.
It also works with Amazon FireTV (Stick) or any other Android TV box / stick, just in case you have already one lying around. ;)
From my experience it’s definitely not as bad as described there. Yes, there are some issues here and there but still a 3D printer is an awesome tool to have at hand. I often designed / printed spare parts and fixing something on a Sunday afternoon spontaneously. Without much planning and lead times, without a third party printing service. Feels pretty awesome.
I would say in 8 out of 10 times I can just plug the printer and start using it without issues. In 1 out of 10, I have to do some small tweaks (e.g. bed leveling for 5 minutes) and in maybe 1 out of 10 I have to invest a bit more time for leveling or unclogging the nozzle. But even all that is less than 30 minutes.
Fixing the printer is nothing that I enjoy but using it is so handy that it definitely makes up for the small hassle here and there.
When I checked online printing services the last time, they were really expensive. For my very first project (4 custom card organizers) it would have cost me more than a hundred bucks. My printer + the initial accessoires were around than 200 bucks and I’ve printed so many functional parts since then that it easily amortized itself within the first year.
I own an Ender 3 V2 that I use around 10 times a year. It is one of the less sophisticated printers and still it does not require that much maintenance. You have to remove the dust, level the bed and sometimes clean or exchange the nozzle. More sophisticated printers can also do some stuff automatically (e.g. the bed leveling part).
However, the initial assembly and fine tuning took some time (approx. 1-2 hours), so I wouldn’t recommend to dis- and reassemble it all the time. If you don’t have that much space, maybe check for a small printer.
When I did my research 2 years ago the Prusa Mini was quite popular for small printer. But if you want to print big parts a lot, it might be a bit annoying as you always have to cut them into smaller chunks, print separate and finally glue them together.
On mobile you could also have a look at NewPipe. It does not have automated downloads but it shows you a simple list of all the videos from your subscriptions without any algorithm-based recommendations. It shows no ads and is fully open source.
Also supports plenty of services other than YouTube.

Reminds me of the traffic situation in eastern Asia. Huge amounts of cars, scooters etc. mostly ignoring any traffic rules. From an outside perspective it looks like there must be thousands of injuries a day but considering the vast amount of individuals it’s still pretty safe and efficient.

Looks good but I wouldn’t recommend this for outside (as recommended in the article). The center of gravity is really far from the ground so it will be knocked over easily by the wind.
On Android many keyboards have an inbuilt emoji button. E.g. on a Pixel with gboard it’s left to the space key.
On Windows you can use [Windows key] + [.] to open the system’s generic emoji menu.
Not sure about adding custom emojis though.

Yeah but with much slower shipping and I wouldn’t expect working conditions in China to be any better than in US / EU amazon logistic centers.
Not sure about that. Sure, you might drive up your short term sales if consumers think they’re getting a great 5* product at a bargain. But in the long run, your customers will be disappointed by the quality and turn away from the platform. I hear more and more complaints about fake products being delivered, service degrading and real brands being drowned in the search results with Wish/Temu-like rubbish on Amazon.
I am still a regular customers at Amazon and I even still pay for the Prime membership but my shopping behavior has changed a lot over the years. Instead of buying expensive stuff like TVs, notebooks, sport equipment etc. I nowadays mostly buy cheap stuff due to the “free” shipping. Super glue, adapters, a cable here and there, little kitchen supplies etc.
I don’t trust Amazon anymore for bigger things which from they’d profit the most.
Also Prime memberships are questioned more and more across my friends and family. And I think fake ratings are one important aspect for that. Among others like treating their employees like shit, having a horrible person as CEO, etc.
If you can run EXE filles on your work PC and you just don’t have administrator rights to install software, you should be able to download a portable version of your favorite browser.
I used portable Firefox, Chrome, Notepad++, Eclipse, Sysinternals stuff and many more without problems that way.

Are all belts on the printer tightened properly? Did you print via Octoprint? Sometimes this may happen if there’s a short network / WiFi issue. Can also happen with some brands of SD cards. So if you have another one available that might be worth a try.
And can’t you save your print by simply grinding off the superfluous filament? If parts are missing you might also add some glue or putty to fill the gaps. If visual appearance is important for your part you could also apply some spray paint or acrylic paint.
Art is not even exclusive to human-like species in general. Just to give an example, check out the mating ritual of puffer fish.

If fish show an interest in creating visually appearing structures, why should it be any different for early primates? I would rather expect that more or less each species has individual forms of art. Although we as humans might not be capable to understand them.
How do we know if a dog peeing in the park is really just marking the area as its own? What if they’re on purpose creating some kind of smelly art for their fellow doggos?
