From listening to podcasts done by people involved in those attempts to bring the show back, it seems the show runners/studios in charge didn’t understand what made the show good and tried to steer their recreations in bad directions. It does seem like most every host they brought on had good intentions and skillsets, but were held back in some way.

To expand on this, there are crypto such as Nano, which take very little energy and time to crunch transactions. I wouldn’t expect most people talking about crypto to be talking about that kind of coin, though. Bitcoin and Etherium are the heavy hitters, and they are incredibly wasteful.

I don’t know why so many people in the fediverse consider Element a competitor to Discord. I regularly use Element, but the non-text functionality just isn’t ready to point people at as an alternative. They will have a bad time and write off Element potentially forever if they are shown that app as an alternative right now.

Some examples of functionality that is important to discord but is not a good experience or is not ready in element yet: voice/video channels, screen sharing, custom emotes and reactions, channel organization and browsing (their latest attempt just doesn’t do it for me).

Additionally, there are times when encryption just has a hiccup still or someone sets it up wrong and things can be messy because of it.

I really like element and they’ve done a good job so far, but It’s just not ready for people to be pushed there from discord.

Oracle cloud will stop things if it goes out of the free tier.

There’s a movie, too! It’s a fun watch. I imagine the next season will kick off where the movie ends. Not gonna spoil what happens in there.

As for sword guy, I don’t think he stood a chance against some of the enemies the group has cheesed their way through, but I could be wrong - I’ve also only seen the animated stuff.

I have the always on screen turned off and the only way to turn it on is the button or when a notification comes in. My battery lasts almost a month.

Heads up to anyone using this, the $5 coupon they offer for an in app purchase didn’t work for me. Don’t make any purchases that depend on it.

I haven’t played the demo so I don’t know what features are coming over, but fusion is amazing and really opens up once you can reliably get monsters up to level 20 since you get lots of skill points by then.

Getting good monsters is just about as important as getting good skills, max one out to get an improved version on the next fusion (with some super good ones only showing up if certain combinations of skills are maxed). I don’t know if they’ll be in this game, but if you come across a way to teach class-based skills to monsters (fighter,warrior,monk,etc) they are super strong.

If you have two monsters that you won’t be fusing with anything important, fuse them together. Getting the overall number up will help out later, and you might want to use them as skill fodder at some point or maybe you’ll stumble into a cool or unique fusion.

Finishing up my playthrough of the main story of Dragon Quest Monsters: Joker 3 in preparation for the new Dragon Quest Monsters game this December. I can’t wait!

Dragon Quest Monsters: Joker is my favorite DS game. I’m really hopeful this one is good. I also really hope it gets released on PC.

You know how convenient it is to just have some wired headphones lying around in the car in case I need them for some reason? (Like if I forgot my wireless ones for the gym).

I can’t do that with wireless headphones, the battery will passively run dry.
