I’m sorry if I’m missing something I’m the documentation, but is this feature going to be made available to those running their own Joplin server in the future?
I’m assuming there is some significant difficulty involved as it involves interaction with email (although I’ll admit that’s not a field I have any technical knowledge about).
Edit: my bad, I see Laurent himself replied to the same question on another post. Looks like the answer is it’s Joplin Cloud only!

I’m not trying rip on Beeper, by the way. I don’t use them and never have. They could be totally legitimate and good-faith actors, but the reencryption issue with bridges sets my tinfoil hat off!
Also worth noting that communication between signal and matrix through most bridges requires the message to be decrypted and reencrypted, thereby breaking E2EE which kinda defeats the point.
Unless you’re running a bridge on a locked down home server on your own network, not sure it’s the most secure.

I’ve been selfhosting a server as well for well over a year now. A $5/month vps and $2/year domain power that and Baikal for all my calendars!
Yeah honestly report all of those accounts to law enforcement. It’s unlikely they’d be able to do much, I assume, but these people are literally distributing CSAM.

FreshRss also allows you (with some reading/testing) to scrape web pages that don’t have aftual RSS feeds. What I like is that it lets me read on web at work where I can’t use my phone, and use my phone elsewhere, and keep it all synced.
I’m also a data/hoarder type so I like knowing that as long as I run it, I don’t lose my feeds!
Came here to confirm. I also have been selfhosting Joplin Server with several gbs of notes and it works like a dream!
Without even getting to the technical issues….if you build a “fully operation” social platform, shouldn’t you host your blog on your shiny wonderful service that you’re promoting, instead of Medium?
That should raise an alarm without even knowing what the word encryption means.
