One nice thing about the current situation is we have a very effective and intuitive way to explain to gamers that capitalism is bad.

2·7 days agoI’m actually curious to why this is. It is completely outside of my taste and people keep saying it’s the best. What makes it exceptional?

711·7 days agoAhhh okay this makes sense now I fully could not understand the buzz around this game and it always felt a bit…off.
Honestly, whatever you go with, you should make sure it has KDE plasma, it has a graphical interface that more closely resembles Windows and can function as training wheels until you better familiarize yourseld with the terminal. If you’re looking at Ubuntu, just be aware that you will likely find it irritating once you start understanding how the system works as it forces its own package manager, snap, which introduces a slew of difficulties in acclamaiting to the Linux ecosystem. However, snap does make installation easier for newcomers who may not understand how to identify dependencies for a given package they wish to install. With all of this in mind, Kubuntu is a really good option for first-timers as its a flavour of Ubuntu that comes with KDE Plasma out of the box.

61·1 month agoThese are evil companies, but I am curious what metric you’re using to say one is worse than the other when their objectives and methods are similar.
That’s fine, I’m making a joke about how men are neurotic about things I would never consider. That it is believable that a number of men find planting jalapenos borderline feminine is what is funny.
Learned a new thing men are insecure about.
Exactly what the fuck do you think you’re referencing?
Jesus Christ you people need to read more history.
History of banana and why it’s cheap.
Haven’t you heard? I blew up the White House all on my own with the MQ-9 reaper drone I keep in my garage.
If you’re too cowardly to try, then step aside.
Tell me more about how much you don’t read history.
Almost like this narrative is a way to salvage US imperialism in light of the undeniable immorality of its current leader.
Trump is a fascist pedophile who will probably have to be killed to leave. The White House has been home to genociders and rapists many times before though. To occlude the historical brutality of the United States is self-destructive and makes you less curious about how and why a pedophile rapist is right at home in the White House.
Tear it down with him in it.

35·2 months agoOh, so you haven’t learned much at all, you just felt too much shame to keep up the support.
Your narrative here is that moral impurity and disability are not only intertwined, but are also responsible for the worst elements of our world. That’s fascism.
You’re a chud, go lick boots somewhere else.

241·2 months agoIf you’re committed to unlearning the fascism, you should know that the narrative that it’s just “mentally ill” people that voted for him is also not accurate and is infact ableist. White affluent Americans have been primed to endorse these values for centuries, it isn’t new and it isn’t disabled people’s fault.

I mean, I’ll never give it a shot to play. It’s too long, I have a job, and I have games I want to play more that will certainly be more enjoyable to me. I never played this game, as I said it’s not even remotely my taste. That’s also why I need to have someone explain what makes it supposedly good for what it is.
Most of these remarks are circular though, “it’s good because it’s good/I liked it.” Which is fine, but doesn’t really speak to the game. Gameplay seems to be where you’re better at articulating what’s actually good here. I don’t know this genre, so it’s exceptional that there is a combination of active and passive combat tied to the player’s experience? This is something exclusive or executed in a notable way here, or it’s just something that’s been done before that you feel is elevated because you like the story production?
