  • I would rather buy nokia with ifixit partnership and save hundreds of euros. for me it’s about the money 700€ is a shit ton of money

edit: okay after looking moreninto nokia phones (or hmd phones, maker of current nokias) I would propably hold my money until they release something new and good which isnt too expensive, currently their lineup is a bit weird. but they do make the phones mostly from recycled materials and I like the idea of that company. (mostly cuz it’s finnish and even stores the data in finland so no china involved)

  • I had this problem in my job as a drafter. I was wondering why the hell Tekla would complain about the same object name already being in use despite everything having its own name. took me way too long to realize there wad some stupidly max name length and the program did nothing to alarm the user about trying to put too long name. it just cut the overflow away.

I mean we do know the formula, se we know pretty well how accurate it was, since we can just use the same formula with meters and calculate it ourselves

"The simplified method works by considering two cities along the same meridian and measuring both the distance between them and the difference in angles of the shadows cast by the sun on a vertical rod (a gnomon) in each city at noon on the summer solstice. The two cities used were Alexandria and Syene (modern Aswan), and the distance between the cities was measured by professional bematists.[16] A geometric calculation reveals that the circumference of the Earth is the distance between the two cities divided by the difference in shadow angles expressed as a fraction of one turn. "

  • I had to use cheap phones for a long time and it was pain in the ass. they always got full and ran like shit after like 1 year of use so when I finally got the chance I bought actially powerful phone. I love it. it took me 4 years to get the memory full and it’s pretty much always lag free. im my last phone I has 16gb memory which got full so often that I had to factory reset them constantly to get them running even half decently. nowadays even cheap phones have fairly good specs though so I don’t think it would be the case anymore and I’m most certainly not going to spend as much on my next phone as I spent on this
