Use it but don’t rely on it. Celeste uses rclone. The rclone support was temporarily disabled from Proton’s end a while back and also, the rclone backend still has a bunch of bugs and the developer seems to have gone missing

Crates aren’t exactly runtime dependencies, so i think that’s fine as long as the 1500+ dependencies actually help prevent reinventing the wheel 1500+ times
If you’re not using a venv for python development, that’s kind of on you
Better software support? How long is it now?
The Buckets (budgetwithbuckets) budgeting app is also a personal favourite of mine. Unlimited evaluation period, no subscriptions and even a regional pricing program called “Buckets by the Loaf”. I really love how they go about it
They’re the maintainers of the most popular JS PGP library and they’re pushing for some major upgrades to the PGP standard. There’s no competing standard. Proton is pretty much the only popular encrypted mail provider that actually does interop well enough.
Or maybe they just want to disclose as little of their personal information, including services relied on, on an open platform like this. Idk if that’s the case, but playing devil’s advocate here
Why not just use Aegis with a remote backup?
Same, Hetzner Storage Share has been really good for me so far.
Can Authy really be trusted?

Okay, credit card autofill is there at least on the browser, my bad. But the other two, no. What I mean by auto-fill UI is an overlay like we see in LastPass, Proton, etc.
If you add an item on your desktop, make sure it’s synced and try to use the Android app to auto-fill it, it won’t be there yet. And if you use the basic auto-fill view (“Items for x”), there’s no way to refresh. The main app (not the “Items for” view) does have a refresh option though, so i end up closing everything, going back and refreshing from there.
Also, I like the way Aliases work in Proton. I’m still using both and really like both, and for now, both have its pros and cons.
I really want to use Bitwarden and I pay for the premium as well, but it’s starting to bother me that a lot of basic stuff is missing despite years of user requests.
I just tried Proton Pass (I have unlimited anyway) and it’s not better, but at least they seem to be working on these.
I assume privacy
Something I’m really looking forward to is the ability to self-host Notesnook. I’m currently really happy with the hosted service already and am looking forward to self-hosting it as well.
You could write a script to automatically watch for new files in a folder and strip metadata from every file i guess. I had done something like that for images way before.
