It’s way too addicting… But oh so good
I thought this was a guide to the game “Workers and Resources: Society Republic”
I must be playing it too much…
This looks kind of like an old expressway that was converted into a town.
Enshitification intensifies
I totally get the sentiment, but our individual effects are miniscule when compared to the devastation caused by a few wealthy elite.
Even if the entire world’s population went vegan overnight, that would still only reduce emissions by 10-15%.
Solar panel tech has exploded over the last 10 years, yet CO2 emissions and power consumption have grown faster still.
Considering this is very much a time sensitive issue, I’m beginning to believe that the most effective use of resources would be direct action against the fossil fuel industry and military industrial complex. Things such as monkey wrenching, blockades, and other more radical means of force.
Of course not everyone is willing to personally go and cause damage to physical assets of corporations, fearing arrest and punishment. But some people have very little to lose and are willing to put their personal safety on the line.
For the others with more to lose (families, etc…), they can still help by identifing targets, keeping watch, donating tools/equipment, and even providing funding for more action, bailouts, legal fees, etc.
There is a reason the word punk is used in SolarPunk.
Probably more like ‘slowly corroding’ from the inside.
Probably cause the insecure men who bought them refused to call it that?
Agreed. Art is the single most powerful tool used to start cultural revolutions.
The Renaissance only happened because of artists’ ideas were spread in a meaningful way.
The music and psychedelic art of the 50s-60s inspired the hippie movement.
Currently, we are being inspired by cyberpunk art. I guess that’s the natural progression of capitalism. But it will eventually fail. And when it does, SolarPunk will rise.
Ahh… The ol’ Lemmaroo. Ya clever bastard
This is greenspace… Not bluespace
Jk, those are amazing
As far as sugar production for profit goes, it’s way better than the process for high fructose corn syrup production.
And at the rate that insect populations are declining, any additional insects will help.
Beautiful drawing. Great imagination and execution.
People love to see exotic animals, but hate the biodiversity required for such animals to exist.
Rodents attract foxes, coyotes, snakes, and birds of prey. All of which are parts of a healthy ecosystem. Additionally, some rodents are beneficial to the local environment.
I think ticks are the biggest worry, but I’m my eyes, they’re just mosquitos that can’t fly.
I remember reading that, although we are discovering new organisms that break down plastic, the organism still emits greenhouse gases through metabolic waste. And the output of that emission is similar to the emissions of just burning the plastic.
It spreads the emissions out over a longer time period, which I guess has it’s benefits. Does anyone know if this research has progressed at all? I haven’t had time to follow closely enough.
I was hoping one of them would be Steve Irwin… 🙁
