They could have bought the game out and lumped it into their existing games. Alternate dimension Pokémon anyone?
I played Civilization for years. When Civ 5 came out, I was incredibly psyched. I specifically went to PAX one year just so I could get new information on the game. When I finally played it, it was the biggest disappointment of my gaming life. It just doesn’t feel like any of the previous ones. Civ 6 is way better in almost every way.
I’m wary of Civ 7 though. How can they improve upon the game without adding minigames or breaking it into insane amounts of DLC eg. Stellaris? I probably won’t pick it up until it’s on a steam sale with all its DLC at 50% off or something stupid.
Yeah, well it works for me.
Ubuntu 22.04 server. It works well enough for my purposes and until it doesn’t I don’t see a reason to switch distros.
As a network engineer I use this frequently to figure out where latency is coming from. +1 for mtr
It may be overkill, but I run all my network traffic in a VM. I never load my client before I turn on the VPN, and make sure to use the kill switch functionality. There’s a step by step that should be followed for every time to remain secure in what you are downloading or uploading.
Most consumer routers will be nowhere close to 10Gbps… so yeah.
The main problem I always hear with this is “where does the brine go?”
It can’t easily be dumped without causing ecological chaos. In the water it can kill ocean life. On land it can make plant life never grow again in certain areas, also leeching into groundwater.
I love this technology buy am apprehensive about its deployment.
I just use oat milk. Most of those creamers have crazy amounts of sugar.
They’re going to get sued into oblivion, so that’s one alternative path forward.
