The problem is the previous alternative was popping them in the green bin which our household was already doing. We are doing no more recycling but it’s now a lot of space consumption (squashed bottles or cans are rejected) and more hassle.

No we recycled them and recycle rates were really high. They just went in the green wheelie bin and were picked up every week or two.
I would be fine with the deposit scheme but the plastic bottles and aluminium cans all need to be in perfect condition / no squashing them down so they quickly start taking up a lot of space in our (busy) house then need a trip to the store followed by putting them in a scanning machine one by one where before we could just squish them and pop them in the green bin.
I’m not doing any more recycling but now I have a lot more effort unfortunately.
Also no glass in the scheme.
I’m honestly not a fan as someone who was recycling everything already.
I heard about a guy once, who was a POW, and his friend wanted him to keep a watch for his son so he shoved it way up there.
The reference for the younger among us.
Are you using a VPN maybe?
Oh nice. Thank you. Installed.
Western China too. I flew over it and it’s like an endless mountainous wasteland.
Just switched from Nova to lawnchair about three days ago and I’m very happy with it.
You might be interested in lawnchair. It’s open source and based off the Google launcher (AFAIK) but you can remove the search bar and other things.
The one on f-droid is two versions out of date. Latest one is from their website:
Serial killers everywhere taking note at the excitement levels in this thread.
That’s fascinating. If you don’t mind me asking what percentage would you say were angry? And where were you knocking? (Approximately).
I worked in a call centre for a summer (no hard sell but it was an awful job) and location and politeness were directly correlated.
I’ve only had one JW call to my door. I’m atheist a long time now. Well over thirty years but we had a very nice interaction. He called back a second and third time, bless his heart.
Big fan of the Motorola phones myself (I’m the chief phone buyer in the house) and that one looks like a very similar spec to mine.
Current phone is the OnePlus Nord 2T. Absolutely great phone. I really love the screen as I do watch movies on it.
My only issue is that I’m not sure it’ll ever get Lineage support and I think that might be down to the processor in it.
Are you looking for a new phone yourself?
Current phone was 240 euro. One before that was 460 but I got 5 years out of it. The only real difference I notice is in the screen.
I know you’re taking the piss but the point of it is really to take a moment to look more closely at what’s around.
I saw a great Japanese movie recently called Perfect Days. The lead in it is a toilet cleaner in Tokyo leading a very simple life but he revels in the beauty in all he sees.
It honestly changed my worldview a little. Can’t recommend the movie enough.
Oh shit. My home is underwater. :(

I did come across the competitive scene there about 2 years ago. Honestly I found it both fascinating and a bit disheartening. There was I happy with my occasional dad game where I was regularly beating the AI on one of the higher levels. Nope. Apparently still a noob after 25 years.
The speed and accuracy that they move and build at is astounding.
As long as they’re not squashed!
