Oh damn. Was coolroms part of that too? I’ve used emuparadise and coolroms a bunch over the years. Kinda makes me want to stock up just in case
I’m OOTL, which ROM sites got shut down?
I’ll second the Dickies. I used to wear Carhartt’s for work because they held up well. But lately they haven’t. The Dickies I’m currently rocking at work have so far held up really well, although I did just switch like 6 months ago. For what it’s worth, my poor, carpenter grandfather wore Dickies everything. Exclusively.
Great setup! It feels so good to have a such a big head-start on the growing season!
You’ll be feeling extra great when it comes time to plant in the ground and your starts are further along than anything you could have purchased or grown from seed right when the season starts.
Post progress pics later!
This is a fantastic resource. Thanks for sharing!
Right on.
Here’s a non-paywalled link to Analytical Gangster for anyone else who may want it.
I can’t open the LinkedIn without an account, but the Spotify one works, for me at least. Which track am I looking for there?
Edit: guessing it’s Analytical Gangster?
Thankfully, the greenhouse wasn’t currently in use, so we didn’t lose any plants.
Unfortunately tho, the propane had been disconnected from it while waiting for some repairs. So there wasn’t really anyway to melt or clear the snow from it fast enough. The greenhouse that is in use suffered a bit of bending to the frame too, even with the heat cranked up and us trying to manually remove the snowpack from the gutters.
We’ve been getting hammered with the weather here…
Lots of snow, freezing raining, then more snow, then more freezing rain… The weather has just been brutal for a couple weeks now here
Thank you. The steel frame was set into the concrete pad that the greenhouse was built upon. It is almost certainly totaled now
I run similar soil types often. You’ll kinda just have to watch the plants, really. You can prolong that need for feeds by watering in teas (compost and/or EWC) frequently.
If you’re worried about post training or pruning stress, my recommendation is adding some kelp (ascophyllum nodosum) into the plant’s diet. The cytokines and other trace minerals present will do absolute wonders for your plants
Yea, they run on an electric motor and a timer, and this was taken while they were closing for the night.
Is that cucumber or a squash in there? Either way, I would really love to see how well that works out with your aeroponic setup!
Nice haul!
I just wanted to say thank you for having the most insightful response in the thread.
I spent most of my day today moving everything around outside my home.
I’m pacifist and an environmentalist.
I like to think of myself the same.
I’ve live trapped, death trapped, stomped, killed, purposefully and accidentally killed lots of mice.
And I’ve had to do the same here. It sucks… the place I live currently is incredibly remote and it’s a constant battle keeping critters out of my home. It’s wonderful to be able to be surrounded by so much natural beauty, but it gets infuriating when it’s within my space. And this year seems to be the worst since I’ve lived here.
I’ll spend more time in the next couple weeks before the cold rain and snow hits patching up holes and moving things around. Thanks again for your insight!
A carbon filter with an inline fan will do wonders to prevent the aromas from spreading outside the tent
Nice!! Lookin’ good!
There’s great advice here in the thread already. But I’ll add a question: are you checking the pH of your fertilizer solution?
If your pH falls out of range, it can cause the plants to show similar symptoms due to the nutrients no longer being absorbable by the roots
Its been awhile since I’ve lived in the city, and even longer since I’ve visited these folks’ place, but if you’re in the Portland, OR area Free Geek is definitely worth checking out!
