Lmao. It is more barebones but yeah “feature: none” is a real jab

ZeroTier looks super cool!
I did that for work. Could have my phone but we could read so I just printed out c or python and tried to make sense of what I was reading
Privacy is a foundational right. Without it inviduals suffer from the imbalanced power dynamic of the states resources.
What is a good alt for cloudflare here tbh?
I’ve done wire guard, and tor service to obfuscate the network, and crowdsec for a good external firewall, and linkerd gateway to actual services (and keycloak for sso).
Besides adding gotelaport for more fine grained access, idk what else you could do, but even then idk if its still competitive as someone else’s network taking your ddos loads lol
Two UPSs? Or better 3?
Tbh that is the coolest setup I’ve is the OpenCompute rack with 3 UPSs powering the DC rail for the rack. Otherwise two UPS for servers with two redundant power supplies.
How do you monitor your setup now, have you/can you use NUTS?
Something to consider water doesn’t stop at the shore in a lot of soils. There is actually a lot of water moving underground, moving the foundation and such. You also have to contend with rising water levels.
What makes the most sense then would be a city built to transition between the types of houses shown here as the conditions change and grow.
And they should be held liable for the costs occurred to employees and customers.
Then companies deserved to be hacked. shrug
From the article: “Even knowing that Kamkar’s silent, invisible, long-distance laser spy trick exists, how does anyone hide their secrets from it? He suggests that companies install double-paned or reflective glass. Some security device companies also sell protection devices that affix to windows and vibrate them to prevent laser microphone spying, and Kamkar concedes he hasn’t tested his attack against those. But he also suggests a safer countermeasure: “Don’t work on computers visible from a window,” he says. “Or just have dirty windows.””
Oh man, taking the reference code for an academic white paper and trying to add something to it is a trip.
Almost never any thought beyond proving the point of the paper.
Hey that’s what I did with Mimic2 (the Mycroft project’s TTS) and DeepSpeach (Mozilla’s STT) for a Lil bit. Hard to handle streaming data right, but it was doableish.
Static? I mean for most of the web it honestly seems like the move. HTMX?
Agreed it seems like the largest factor is what is cost (both time, effort, and capital) is to run with real data vs tabletopping it. Mapping out unknowns might help if the costs of not catching unknowns is too high.
I guess maybe its my sysadnin coding /DevOps domain that makes a couple of people spit balling on a white board faster to get started then rack and stacking, powercycling, or provisioning new instances.
Makes sense when try to work through a complex logic flow that you just aren’t sure about.
Annoyingly self reported chinease users I used to talk to would go dark after mention a certain square, tanks, and massacre. Since the push for misinformation instead of censorship its been less common but it also just seems like there are less people from China in my internet social circles now too. :/
Just gotta wait a few months if his choice, Trump, gets into office :/
