The vinegar situation where I am atm has kind of made me more depressed? Some of it is straight up ass, and the salt & vinegar chips have been pretty terrible across the board. I love vinegar, too, so I’m very sad. Maybe the vinegar has to taste good to work.

I enjoyed it. It’s definitely a different feel than previous AC games, so if you go in hoping for that, you might be disappointed. I think it’s definitely worth checking out, especially if you can get it on sale.

Plastic surgery, too. Fox “News” presenters have boob jobs, nose jobs, veneers, fake tans, and dye jobs, and they have the nerve to say people shouldn’t alter their bodies.

I mean, I get that, and the amount of rage I feel about the fact that Republicans never have any empathy for anyone they don’t know is probably going to give me an ulcer, but this is good news. People changing their minds in response to new information is a positive thing, and we should encourage it. There are plenty of LGBTQ+ people whose families don’t change their minds. That’s how we end up with kids committing suicide or living on the streets. My extended family would never change their minds, and it’s led to me cutting them off, and my cousin will never come out because I’m pretty sure his dad would kill him, or at least do his level best to beat him to death.

Anyway, I didn’t mean for that to get that dark, but that’s the reality for a lot of us. I’m going to welcome anyone trying to be better with open arms.

I’d love to be judgemental about this, but I’d absolutely be in that 25% of women who did it too.

Every time I talk to my friends in academia, I’m grateful that I was just smart enough to know that I’m too stupid for academia.

TIL I was ambitious. And here I thought my attitude of, “I can skip these 2 papers and still have a solid C,” made me kind of a bum. NOPE! I skimmed so many papers.

I got my dog one because she loved being covered by blankets, and she did the same thing. And then insisted on having a blanket over her anyway. On the plus side, she loved the bed in her own way.

We actually have a non-profit where I live that grows and then puts together sets of native plants that will cover a certain amount of space and all grow in the same light/shade. We used their boxes, so less luck with the mint and more that we sought out plants like that. We also have some tall grasses, coneflowers, penstemon, about one million ice plants, and some others I can’t remember.

I don’t know if other states have similar orgs, but it’s a really great way to make native/pollinator-friendly gardens accessible to novices. All I had to do was plant them and weed them.

Eh, maybe, but native plants tend to be a way better option for new gardeners because they grow so much better. My mom and I tore out all the grass in our front yard and put in native plants and they’re the first plants I didn’t manage to immediately kill. If I’d tried roses, they probably would’ve died and I’d have given up. Instead, I have catmint thriving maybe a little too much and it’s full of bees!

This is appalling. I want it immediately.

I think the anti-reflective glass is very tempting. I’m not incredibly worried about the battery because basically everywhere I take it will have charging available and I don’t think I can justify the cost of the 1TB model knowing that I really prefer using my PC for gaming whenever possible (which is most of the time, for me).

I am an old person who is big on reducing eyestrain, so that’s probably a solid argument for upgrading to an oled model. There won’t be much point in buying one if I can’t stand to play it.
