Does the Series S support USB controllers? Could you not use one of those knock off USB PS controllers?

Oh gotcha. You mean before it went Dual Shock 3? Sorry I thought you were referring to the multiple iterations the PS1 had.
Advantage over Dual Shock 2 was that it was wireless, and I do appreciate that, but I completely agree that PlayStation layout is great.
I do like the Dual Shock 4 when on the computer, as the little touchpad on the front helps with SteamOS when dealing with shitty interfaces for 3rd Party Launchers that demand a mouse and keyboard.
If I didn’t encounter them occasionally then Dual Shock 3 all the way as I dont normally need any of the other “features”.
I’m not sure what you are referring to here. The Dual Shock 2 was the standard PS2 controller throughout its lifetime.
Do you mean the OG PlayStation, which had the standard controller, then the dual analogue stick, and finally the Dual Shock with the two analogue sticks plus rumble?
I liked the analogue sticks, loved Katamari. Rumble didn’t add enough.
Works fine for me.
I use it in combination with AR and CRT for good coverage. Might want to check that Flaresolverr is setup correctly.
And Chris Pratt wasn’t a very good Mario
I found ITX did, it did restrict my options however with my Ryzen 5 and RX6650 XT I can play everything at full detail and high resolutions. Linux is awesome with AMD hardware.
Looks like one of the 8-Bit Do ultimate controllers. I don’t recognise the stick/body colour combination, my black ones were just black
That doesn’t make it “trash”.
Gradle, with it’s transitive dependency modifications is a huge pain in this area.
It used to be that if a library ended up having a flaw then it would be flagged and we would get the dependency updated. These days security block the “security risk” and you have to replace your dependencies dependency. Fingers crossed you can get it to actually test all the code paths.
If an second level project gets a flaw, and it’s used indirectly then we should really look at getting the import updated so that we know it works. If that import is abandoned then we should not be updating that second level dependency, either adopt and fix the first level dependency or look at an alternative.
Yep, completely agree. That was essentially the last line of my comment.
I also wish that journald had a spec for its database, or standardised on something like Sqlite which could be interrogated with generic tooling.
While I agree that sometimes Uber projects happen, for efficiency or security reasons, I don’t think that Mesa is a good example as they have a scope (implement the OpenGL/Vulkan API) and stick to it.
Systemd is already confusing because of it referencing two different projects, and the overarching systemd projects scope just increases on a regular basis without what appears to external observers as a plan.
This will probably lead to vocal outrage because it’s Systemd rather than an alternative project coming up with the solution.
Sudo has long known to have dangerous weaknesses, but it’s generally been accepted since sudo solves a bunch of other problems. If we can fix the problems sudo has, then that’s a good thing. Would be nicer if we could split up some of these projects though to stop uber projects.
Completely disagree. This is how it works, Microsoft get software for free but they have no authority to prioritise other people’s scheduling
I wasn’t aware of a good reader app, and it required me to use the web view. Unless there is one that I missed?
❤️
Thank you. Half the battle is learning the correct terminology!
How well does that work on eink displays? I guess I’ll have to try it, but the Kindle app always tries to add animation on Android.
Because unfortunately that wouldn’t pass the spouse test.
I mean she could, until she is bored.
Plus this is hopefully a self hosted community, so understands that I don’t mind doing a bit of legwork up front to gain an ease of use later down the line.
I’ll give it a go. Thanks!
