Thanks for the rec! I also love that you presume that there will be a next time, cuz, uh, that’s accurate. These little boxes are powerhouses, I probably want one for a TV set-top box now that all the TV boxes (Roku, Amazon Fire, even Android TV and soon Apple TV) are riddled with ads.
Beelink and Minisforum are legit
I wish I knew a lot of this when I first started shopping for a mini PC. I ended up with a Beelink model that I’m quite happy with, but it seems almost luck that I didn’t pick another one, and I would have liked a “reputable brand” search function.
In case you’re wondering, the answer is “Definitely not.”
Kinda, there was a progression to travel to different planets, etc. I mostly played it with friends and messed around, so I didn’t pursue it very far.
I liked this bit about Rob Johnson near the end, that he “has just the right mix of passion and affability to nudge labels in the right direction.” I think that’s a very effective combination. I’m sure it doesn’t hurt that the labels can make some money in the process.
100% agree with this. Dune 1 sets up the world, Dune 2 gets to tell more of a story.
apart from some Harkonnen costume choices.
Oh, man, I forgot about those. 😄 The miniseries is good, though.
Torchlight 2 and 3 are fun looting co-op experiences.
Sandersons … too much of a choir boy to match Martin’s tone
I’d agree, it’s not an ideal match. But another talented, perhaps up-and-coming writer (as Sanderson sort of was at the time) could do a good job.
Remember when GRRM was so pissed that people criticized his friend Robert Jordan for faffing around for over a decade and never finishing the Wheel of Time series? Yeah, same.
Bob Hoskins, though I admit, my decision is partly colored by his many other awesome roles.
Yup, I picked it up for $7 to play with friends last year. It’s worth double that, but not $45. I still play with them sometimes but it isn’t my favorite.
Somewhat unrelated, this game has one of the worst menu systems I have ever seen. It’s astounding how unintuitive it is.
the original match 3
Shariki and Bejeweled would like a word.
I really liked Lara Croft GO. It’s better than Hitman GO or other GO games.
With a 2025 release, is may not even come out for Switch, it may release on Switch 2/successor.
Native support. 👍 I haven’t played it yet, but at this price I’ll give it a try.
It is fairly short, but at $25USD, it was priced reasonably enough that I didn’t feel cheated. And frankly, I don’t have time for very long games, I really can only manage short games, so it works out well for me.
Little Kitty Big City, which is some great, silly fun.
I appreciate when ads say “Free to Play” up front so I know not to play it. (There may be a few exceptions here and there, but as a general rule, that has served me pretty well.)
I didn’t get a paywall, but sometimes the WaPo does, and if so, here’s a paywall-free link: https://archive.ph/f4tti
