Your couldn’t throw us a bone by including a link? 😉
That’s okay, I got you covered.

Oh, I totally agree with your views here, I think. I guess it just bothers me whenever I see some “obvious” solution on some article or headline. The ones who built these monuments achieved something truly incredible, and we still can’t explain how they did so.
I have a hard time seeing a raft as having the necessary water displacement capability to handle that kind of weight, thought. And they left a written record regarding much smaller craft; so one obvious question, where’s the record of any more advanced ship building?
I guess it’s just the fact that it’s actually really not easy at all to get such enormous chunks of stone to float. But, I also cannot offer any other explanation, so take that as you will…
I seriously doubt it; the extreme weight of these stones far exceeded the load capacity of any known Egyptian water craft. By, like, a lot.
No. Read it again. I never said allegation. I never referenced court proceedings. I said the act of rape is indefensible.
If you commit rape, there is no “decent” defense. If you didn’t, then my comment doesn’t apply. Simple as that.
There is no excuse for sexual violence, and there never will be.
Your reply is completely unrelated to what I said. There is no such thing as a decent defense for raping someone. If they didn’t rape anyone, good! If they did, that is an indefensible act by its very nature.
I made no comment at all on whether or not any specific individual is guilty or not. So I’m really confused what your point is here…?
Your choice of words was absolutely terrible. There is no such thing as a decent defense of rape. Now, an effective defense in our busted legal system? That’s a whole different story. But “decent” does not apply in cases of sexual assault and violence. Ever.
I’ve always figured a company will go public before enshitification truly gets underway. It’s kinda the first step of the process.
I guess my argument is that until that pressure to appease the stockholders exists, there’s not a whole lot of motive to justify enshitification. It’s hard for me to imagine the process happening any other way.
So, I suppose you can count my vote as being that going public will likely come first. Just my two cents, though, and I don’t know anything anyway! :-p
I’m a little bit confused by your post. Publicly-traded companies, by and large, place extraordinary emphasis on short term, quarter by quarter profit. Seems like a very strong contender for the root cause if the issue?
Enshitification is about monetization, getting more money from the same customer base.
Doesn’t this statement support publicly traded status being a riot cause, though?
I must assume I’m misunderstanding your argument…?
I did read it, in fact. I disagree with the methodology, as well as the unsubstantiated non scientific guesswork involved in reaching many of their conclusions.
This is nothing but speculation. It is not a rigorous analysis of empirical data. I’m short, it’s not science.
Umm… this reeks of pseudoscientific mumbo jumbo. Doesn’t help that the website is an “open” platform (i.e. doesn’t have proper peer review or other safeguards).
Frankly, this has no place in a science community.
Lankhmar: City of Adventure for AD&D2e. Crossed with Ravenloft - the mists around the city would lead into, and back out of, Ravenloft (yes I know, you’re supposed to be stuck in Ravenloft if you’re ever unlucky enough to go there, this was a way to mix it up).
I think you may have misunderstood. The entire point is to have an academic term that would never be used as a search by one of those inhuman lowlifes.
I don’t mean to be pedantic, so I hope my meaning came across well enough…
The fact that real world data directly contradicts several arguments raised in this article…is addressed in the article?
Okay, sure…
I know it’s not what you asked, but check out So Low lotion for men by Hello Cake. :-D
Windows? Yeah, I’m talking out of my ass here, but probably only unplayable because Windows helpfully created some kinda corrupted data file related to the disc.
What he said is factual; you didn’t make the disc itself unreadable. Which is why I blame Windows doing something stupid and not helpful.
OMG. This might be my favorite burn ever!!
Ah. So…blame the victim. Cause apparently capitalism is, like, perfect or something.
The company selling the software arbitrarily created a problem for no reason other than greed. And yet, the ones not forking over more money are the problem.
Yeah, hard no from me on your entire argument, buddy.
Same boat, I’m afraid. I’m very tempted by the sale they’re having on the 6a right now, though!
That’s…not how chemistry works.
