I have three spider plants that used to take turns spending a month in the windowless bathroom. They’re all fine. There was at least some sunlight coming in from the surrounding rooms though.

It’s all just one room, they moved the desk to the window to make place for a bed.

You know you can buy almost anything, right. It’s the point of this community to not do that and instead share the joy of making something by yourself. I’m sorry if you didn’t get to experience that joy yet.

I knit continental by default and do this too. I think it’s much easier getting the tension with my hands as I have more control. There are so many factors that determine how smoothly yarn comes of the skein (e.g. the fiber itself) so I don’t want to depend on that.

Usually I tension with my index finger, one wrap for grippy yarn and two wraps for slick yarn.

Took three hours, but I’m confident it’s gone for good now.

It’s still there (or again).

I think there was also something about taking modern bird sounds and pitching the accordingly to body size and the fossilized vocal structures? Too lazy to look it up right now though, might as well have dreamt it.
