I actually had a version of linux fail to run on linux recently: software updates were failing because the newest OS version updated some directories and file structures, and downgrading would require doing manually.

I didn’t even think about if this is negatively impacting security updates. Might have to ditch 10 before the LTSC support ends in 2027.

The Java and Bedrock edition came bundled together for me. Maybe theres a way to redeem it somewhere other than the store, but I am still pretty sure its been the way I described ever since Minecraft was purchased by Microsoft.
