They make you use the app to get the advertised features. Hyundai/Kia are terrible about this.
Oh and the entire implementation is half-assed. I bought my Hyundai used and can’t even use the paid features because they won’t transfer the account to me.
I actually like Hyundai, but I will never again purchase one of their vehicles because of subscriptions and what I mentioned above.

Adnauseum clicks are easily detected and filtered out. Google stopped this nonsense a long time ago. As others have said, it also makes it dead simple to track you.

WSL2 runs ubuntu on Hyper-V. It isn’t really as custom as you’d think. You can install other distros besides ubuntu. Or you can install regular ubuntu instead of LTS.

Yes criminal charges were brought against them. I don’t know what happened beyond that, however. It got pretty quiet once evidence was collected and the attack stopped.
Have you guys contacted law enforcement? It may surprise you. A startup I worked for had the same issue and contacted the FBI. They were able to quickly (within hours) find the person doing it despite him using VPNs and other tools for OpSec.

Twitter and Facebook have killed many during the pandemic thanks to allowing misinformation on their sites. You can’t rely on people to use critical thinking to determine who is right and who is wrong on the internet.
The only large country that wants NATO to fall is Russia. They want NATO to fall so they can pull another Ukraine in another country such as Poland. NATO is a defensive force, so only someone wanting something to not be defended would want NATO to go away. You only want something to not be defended if you intend to attack.
