It’s a situation of just enough knowledge, I think. It’s true that water won’t put out an EV battery fire, but it will cool it down and prevent the fire from spreading.

Every time. Absolutely cracks me up.

So not the original originals, but probably some of the best.

My cat learned I can’t see when I have the VR headset on and knocked a lamp over onto my head.
I think the main issue in that circumstance is you don’t have a lot of options as a human, at least not without tools. You’d have absolutely no trouble just killing the chicken, but there isn’t much option for a middle ground where both sides leave unscathed.
Similar, but with my feet/ankles. She wants to be close, but isn’t a big fan of petting. I’m not always great at respecting that desire, so we compromise like this.

We also do a lot of single player games with one of us streaming over discord. When it’s a slow-burn puzzle or mystery game, it doesn’t really matter who is actually controlling.
For those types, I really recommend Return of the Obra Dinn. We’re currently working our way through the entire Frogwares Sherlock Holmes collection. The old ones are so terrible, which is a greatness all by itself.
Gonna go on Countdown with the line “Dictionaries aren’t rule books, they’re record books” and fight Susie Dent.
I’m only now realizing that my enjoyment of being in the rain has dropped in correlation to growing older and having expensive things in my pockets. Maybe next time it rains I’ll leave the phone and AirPods behind and go for a walk.
Considering the original meaning of “hit points” referring to how many shells a given ship could take before sinking, 12hp out of a basic spell is still pretty impressive.
If only it were so easy to banish the night-spiders. Nope, suburban US has more than you think.
You get a very similar effect if you go outside at night and hold a light up at your eye level, except it’s reflecting off the eyes of all the spiders around.
