  • i think it is incredible how different cooking techniques can completely change tofu and you can do basically anything with it.

i’ve been making it myself for a couple years and what i make now is worlds better than when i started. recently i had a japanese bbq tofu dish at a restaurant and i legitimately do not think i am capable of preparing tofu like that myself - so cool to know that there is always new ways to enjoy tofu.

    your food looks delish btw

  • always happy to read about someone who wants to try vegan food :)

vegan butter is great - it tastes a little off from dairy butter if you’re eating it on its own (also depends on brand, some are way better than others) but it is indistinguishable (to me) in a complete dish or baked good.

all the vegan mayo i’ve had is a great substitute for cheap storebought mayo, but maybe i’ve just been getting shitty mayo lol. if you’re someone who is into the fancier mayos and/or have made your own at home and know how good that can be, i haven’t had any vegan stuff that measures up without additional flavorings. but like another commenter said, you can just mix and match flavors until you get something delicious.

  • just beat a difficult game about climbing and i loved it! it’s the only other game in the genre that has risen to the heights of getting over it in terms of gameplay mechanics and level design.

if anyone reading this knows about a community for these types of games (foddian? getting over it-likes?), please send it my way. i love these games to bits and have so much to say about them but to my knowledge basically no one cares about these games outside of watching people on twitch get angry at them.

looking forward to playing return of the obra dinn, then i’ll probably start speedrunning the climbing game until baby steps releases lol

  • been battling impostor syndrome for my whole career, and today i learned that one of the new (not new to the field) people on my team doesn’t know how to use excel, the thing i spend like 50% of my working hours using.

worrying for my team and maybe the industry, but very comforting personally lol
