  • You should actually read that article beyond the “unsubstantiated” tag.

It’s very likely he did say either exactly those words or something very close to them. It’s just that no one recorded or transcribed him saying those because it was a private conversation between him and another individual who only wrote down the encounter 40 years after it happened.

Considering the downward spiral of science in America, it should hurt just a little bit I think.

Edit: especially considering we have not been back to the moon since the early 1970’s even though we’ve had the capability this entire time. We’re only just now planning to send people back to the moon. And even that has taken teeth pulling effort to get the ball rolling. And I’m becoming quite doubtful it’ll actually happen because of who’s in charge of our government at the moment and the people who back them.

  • This is one of the things that people who use AI to vibe code don’t get. Sure your AI genned code ends up working but when you actually look at the code it’s sloppy as all fuck, with a lot of unnecessary junk in it. And if you ever have to fix it, good fucking luck finding what’s actually going on. Since you didn’t write it there’s no way for you to know exactly what it is that’s actually fucking up.

Really you end up being no better than some homebody who copy-pasted some code they found on the internet and plugged it into their shit with no idea of how any of it actually works.

Nope. 2+5(8-5)=2+(40-25), The Distributive Law, a(b+c)=(ab+ac)

Post picture declaiming brackets as a multiplication symbol, then proceeds to solve the problem to the exact same solution using distributive law to multiply both numbers within the bracket. Fucking genius.
