You’ve just described the UK.
You’ve just described the UK.
The joke isn’t the program itself, it’s the process of deploying a website to servers.
The cost is insane. We were looking at going down to London from Lancashire this weekend for a concert, and it would have cost £235 for both of us, return.
Of course the car would cost too, fuel, parking etc but no where near that price.
I’ve never seen Tesco sell avocados like this before, normally they’re just loose in a box or something
I’m convinced these people are just making it up, I’ve been alive nearly 40 years and not once heard of this being a thing.
I think your experience is probably similar to a lot of people’s that join Lemmy. There’s certainly a lot of people on this platform with quite extreme views. Many instances got sick of them and blocked them, and in turn they think we’re liberal fascists.
I think most people by now have received bans from the world news community on lemmy.ml, including myself. I wouldn’t worry about it!
I don’t get why you’d want a smaller phone
Being able to hold the phone comfortably and securely in your hand is really important for me. I’d love to be able to reach the vast majority of the screen without having to shuffle the phone in my hand or use two hands. I very rarely watch any videos on my phone, or play any games that require a large screen.
My wifes iPhone 12 Mini is a perfect size.
Because in reality you’re not doing stupid stuff like that in the image. And using Typescript definitely helps.
However I’m always annoyed that the month parameter when constructing a date object is 0 based. So 1st of Jan is
new Date(2024, 0, 1)
Because in JS:
1 == "1" // true
1 === "1" // false
Yeah I’m in the same boat. I used to follow Android news religiously and keep up with all the phones. Now I couldn’t care less, they’re just a tool.
Same with the whole running Linux on my PC, it was fun to mess about with when I had the time, but now I’m older with a family, I just don’t care.
I have no idea. I’ll be going onto my 5th year with my One Plus 6T and I might need something to replace it in case the situation arises, although it’s not showing any signs of giving up! fingers crossed
Ideally I’d like something a bit smaller (I still have my Sony Z3C Compact in a drawer and the size is so good), great battery life, fast charging and something that’s likely to get at least 5 years of software support.
So the driver should just go to the depot, lock the bus up at night with the person fast asleep inside? At some point, paying passengers have to leave the bus.
I keep our cats water clean and filled and it’ll always be her last resort. She’ll go for the water from the tap or my glass every time.
This isn’t my experience. I’m way more focused in the morning and then it’s all downhill after lunch. By the time it’s the evening I have zero motivation to do any code.
I must have had that update for a couple of months, I can’t tell the difference between the screenshot and what I have.
There’s Linux distro called suicide Linux that wipes your hard drive on any mistyped command.
The only thing that makes me cautious about this phone is the CPU. Will it still be performant in 5+ years?
I fear you’ll be waiting a long time.
It could be possible to just disable uploading of images on the platform and rely on third parties (such as Imgur etc) who have the tools and experience to tackle this. It would at least solve the issue of images from other federated instances putting on an instance and it’s not the sole responsibility of the admin to sort it.
This is udderly ridiculous
