Which is a shame, because if I could create tangible loss for Ubisoft by downloading their games, I would do nothing else until they went under.
IDK what Demetrious means, but polychronic means multiple fatal diagnoses, like when you have multiple stage 4 cancers.
Don’t they have tools to do 100 at once, and machines to do 10,000 at once?
Moopsy!
I’m just glad they didn’t call it swiss cheese
It’s not gonna explode though, it’ll slowly grow until it reaches out to the outer planets, then collapse into a white dwarf that will slowly cool for eons.
I use all 3.
If it’s very short and there’s 2 or more in a row, I’ll put it all in one line.
If there’s a bunch of nested if statements, I’ll use the second.
If neither of those conditons, I’ll use the first.
No idea. I can see why they’d do it if someone was giving out invites to tons of people who literally do not seed, but you can’t expect everyone to have a good ratio since they must all average out to 1.
I think most of the talk is just to encourage seeding.
It’s fundamentally impossible for everyone to have a positive ratio.
gulag (death camps in Siberia).
The number of people sent to the gulags was never as high as it had been under the tsar, nor were it’s death rates. If you look up any data on the subject, you’ll find your conception of the USSR’s justice system is entirely fictional.
It also explains how he confiscated small farmers’ land and made them work as slaves, sending their yield to the government, which lead to the famine of 1934 you’re talking about, and killed 5 million.
And then I suppose Stalin ate all the grain himself? Maybe ask yourself how you got tricked into believing a gov’t seizing and distributing hordes of grain during a famine was a bad thing.
Every one of your points are either abjectly false or wild distortions that would take too long to look up each one.
There’s criticisms to be made of Stalin without making shit up.
only after killing basically everyone that knew how to do anything: Doctors, Lawyers, Farmers, etc. Leaving the country in tatters and the government free to be run by one person, who would go on to commit awful such atrocities that it made the whole history of the tsars look like childs play in comparison.
This is false. Life expectancy and conditions in the USSR increased dramatically after the civil wars (excepting the famine of 1934 and WWII).
They certainly didn’t manage to industrialize faster than any country in history by killing “basically everyone that knew how to do anything”.
surely it’s their choice?
Should the people in the areas that voted to secede from Ukraine after the gov’t banned their language and supported military units shelling them right up until the day of the invasion have a choice?
But regarding the rest of Ukraine, every gun, weapon, and bomb we’ve sent there is a bad day for someone, statistically mostly civilians. They’re not fighting for freedom, they’re being sacrificed so that the Ukrainian land, gov’t, and businesses are owned by westerners instead of Russians. The only correct position is to oppose your own nation’s involvement.
Also CCP was used to associate with CCCP to help recycle a century of anti-soviet propaganda.
clever newspeak
If that’s what you want to call it. I was just using the old-timey term to contextualize US actions in Ukraine/China/Iran/DPRK/Niger among the hundred other wars waged for the same purpose over the last couple centuries.
Oh, sorry then, I must have misunderstood.
Since federation, a lot of libs who’ve never encountered a leftist opinion have been calling us russian or chinese bots for not supporting the latest imperialist adventures.
Hexbear is one of the oldest lemmy instances, but only recently started federating.
Are you suggesting that for the last 3+ years, someone was running a troll farm where the trolls could only talk to each other?
A plant doesn’t have to be native to benefit local ecosystem, parsley isn’t native, but there’s a local species of butterfly whose caterpillars love it.
