  • I tried one of these. cool concept, but execution was meh. Would be better with their external device thing that locks the screen in place.

Also, and YMMV, but it was the only VRish thing to make me nauseous (but not overly so) after a while due to the screen moving. I’ve flown jets in VR comfortably, but XCOM on the NReal was troublesome.

also you need a hub type thing to be able to charge the deck and use the glasses at the same time. not a big deal, but then the deck is pretty bulky

Gotta cut it off at some point though, right? How many decimals? 10, 4, 1, or 0?

Plus, this is a test not the knowledge delivery. Some thing as ‘assume a flat plane with no friction’ for a physics test. Yeah it’s not 100% accurate but the test taker can be evaluated on the methods

I had this exact thought/memory earlier today when I saw something about them nerfing planet environments. I don’t even know how they’d do it in starfield since the terrain is barren so there isn’t even cover to go to. So it pretty much would have just been “no, you can’t go to this planet”.

I feel like new Atlantis is hard to get a grasp on is that 1) it makes you fast travel immediately on arrival for the story and therefore lose the sense of place and your mental map, and 2) they never give you an overview or overlook with landmarks so that you can see where things are in relation to each other.

The first impression is getting on the train and then jetpacking through a bunch of bushes to the lodge.
