Beautiful! I love your use of hatching and shading in different parts.
But then you can’t tell at a glance what kind of die it is.

Incredible stylization. I love this so much.

Cooking @lemmy.world•What's an unusual ingredient, spice, or food item that you can't live without?English
22·29 days agoDehydrated mushrooms.
They’re shelf stable, delicious, and healthy. They can be the focus of a meal like a stir-fry, or you can add them into anything savory (rehydrated or ground up) to give it more flavor depth— spaghetti sauce or chili are great examples. Throw some in ramen for an easy fancy-up.
They’re amazing.
My cousins in Colorado have a hay barn about the same age that’s dug partway into the mountain. The smell inside is rich and earthy, heavy but sweet; the kind of scent that one can always faintly recall.

If you accelerate something into a freefall orbit, then it stands to reason that the projectile would deal falling damage (equal and opposite force, you know) which maxes out at 20 d6.
There’s so many Star Trek episodes that you can steal extensively from there, too.

10·1 month agoIt was hand colored, so it’s kind of a mix of photography and painting.
I love these kinds of prints, the experimentation in early photography is really interesting. The Library of Congress has an extensive photocrom collection that’s fascinating to look through.
That’s a lot of spaghetti-o’s.

I saw The Fly (1986) last week for the first time.
Holy moly, what a good movie. If you can tolerate body horror, do yourself a favor and give it a watch.

1·2 months agoOh, for sure.
That’s what I like most about it: it feels almost crazy by the end to try to be optimistic about the future of humanity.
But it is anyway.
It’s easy to be defeatist; being optimistic is a subversive act.
