Yes exactly. A large number of their older titles exist on other platforms like the Switch and of course, the PC, where gamepass lets people play those titles for a very affordable price.

All the more reason then to make games like Starfield and Halo infinite the absolute best games they could be

Out of curiosity, I googled exclusives for Xbox series exclusives. They’ve got things like Forza Horizon 5, sunset overdrive and Ori. Like, sure, but you can’t say proudly that your console is being held aloft by 4+ year old titles when the competition is releasing banger after banger!

They just missed the mark. You can spend billions on R&D and marketing for a new console, billions on buying up game studios to make new games, but if your games suck on launch, people won’t play on your console.

What XBox has done this generation is borderline suicide.

You have to renew your driver’s license every 10 years. That means in the worst case scenario, the image they’re using of you could be 10 years out of date.

Those images are also not detailed enough to be used for facial recognition. Sure, it could help narrow down the list of suspected people, but they’re crazy if they think they’d be able to pinpoint someone based on what they looked like 5-10 years prior.

I suspect these powers are being used for something else more sinister. Immigration, for example, to clamp down on people who have licenses and are delivery drivers, or taxi drivers for example.

Skyrim was an awesome game at launch, even without mods. The epic storyline, they way you’re face to face with a dragon within minutes of starting, and the diverse range of races and classes you could be made it your own. There’s a reason why it lasted as long as it did.

• 1000 planets to explore. So why couldn’t they have let you upload your base to a server online, and then have other people’s bases randomly appear in your game as you play? Bearing in mind, this would not be an online game, you would have the opportunity to download them.

• Ship building is fun, but it’s too limiting. It feels like a system that’s still in its infant stages and could’ve been refined. Give me the ability to resize modules, have the ability to merge parts, so my ship looks more like the ones in Mass Effect or Star Citizen, and not like a mass of parts bolted onto each other.

• Bethesda NPCs just don’t work in 2023. There’s so little life in them, and the voice acting sounds like they are speaking in a recording booth. There’s no life to their voices or characters. It’s so jarring, going to Starfield after playing Baldurs Gate 3, or Cyberpunk 2077.

• Loading screens.

• Boring. At least give me an all terrain vehicle to explore 1000 planets, or don’t make carrying capacity and oxygen so difficult to manage. How about they give us free DLC after release that continues to add curated content to other planets. Give me a damn reason to play the game, Bethesda! What the hell is this BS?

Is it? It sounds more like the people on the privacy subs had morals and knew their limits.

If you go to the bar and the bartender says “drinks are on the house!”, you’re still not going to go and order every single drink on the menu. You’re not going to go off and drink yourself under the table, just because you personally don’t have to pay for it. You understand that there’s an opportunity to have something for free and you respectfully take up the offer and enjoy yourself.

Yes, video game practices are often downright toxic: Paying DLC for content that’s already on your PC/ Disk. Unfinished games, loot boxes, low quality remasters, buggy releases - I get it. I’m not going to spend $70 of my hard earned money on some crap and have it be half the product I was promised, or have DRM that prevents me from playing the game further into the future.

But what about great indie titles like Baldurs Gate 3? Where’s the justification there? It’s some honest Devs who put everything into an amazing product. Why not spend the money you’ve saved up on other piracies on a well-deserved title?

Some smaller indie titles need every sale. It literally pays for their livelihood. Why pirate their work too?

There’s honour among thieves. There’s a code to not screw over the people who are making games for the love of it. If you don’t care about any of that, fine. But don’t go around bragging about it like it’s your God-given right to steal.

Stealing everything from everyone isn’t something you should be proud of. We all can’t afford a lot of things atm, and that’s understandable. But there are people out there trying to afford stuff by selling those very same games. Have a bit of respect for the game.

People compared it competitively to the iPhone and Galaxy Watch, and it came out on top in some cases.

I just don’t get it. I can’t even set an alarm on my phone and turn off that same alarm on my Pixel watch. I couldn’t punch in a destination on my phone and follow along on my watch.

The Watch simply was not finished and it was shipped too soon. I love tech, but I’ve always had a traditional timepiece. The number of times I’ve wanted to leave for the office, or go for a bike ride and find my Pixel watch is dead was far, far too many. There’s no notification on my phone to tell me to charge it!

It’s a smart watch, Google, not a Fitbit. Show me the Smart watch features it can do. Rehashing a Fitbit isn’t intuitive. It’s just copy and paste.
