It wasn’t even because it was leftovers. It was because she suggested there was enough that there WOULD BE leftovers. The meal itself was an amazing, freshly roasted turkey with stuffing and sides.

For once, I think Everett’s reaction is pretty justified.
If you go to the community there are some pinned posts that contain the archive links.
Entropy Man would be a scary accidental villain. Just random acts of chaos as they go through life until enough shit goes wrong and they become persecuted. The they learn to use their powers for revenge against an unjust society.
Late to the party, but I think that fit the scene well.
I’ve been wondering since I fist started reading these; what the hell is Everett wearing? Is he wearing a onesie and a cardigan?
Does anyone know how I can get this game to appear in either the NYT Games or the normal NYT app?
Okay, I have a question. I would love to write my papers in latex, but none of my colleges use it. Is there a way to reasonably collaborate with coauthors who only use Word and for whom Latex would be confusing and difficult?
I do this using overleaf. It’s been much easier to maintain and update since switching.
I’ve come to the conclusion that conservatives are just people whose sense of empathy is broken. Over and over I hear about conservatives who held bigoted beliefs and only changed their minds when confronted by someone they love becoming the target of other people’s identical bigoted beliefs. These people just can’t empathize enough to think “what if it was my child/spouse/friend?”
I still am absolutely flabbergasted that these assholes turned down FREE FUCKING MONEY TO FEED HUNGRY CHILDREN!
Republicans are all narcissists. They have zero empathy or compassion unless something happens to someone they know. Strangers are just NPCs to republicans.
Something tells me that you don’t work in science. The process for getting science funding isn’t simple and weeds out useless studies pretty quickly. On average, calls for proposals have about a 15% success rate. So, 15 in every 100 proposals get funded. They are funded after being vetted for usefulness, feasibility, novelty, cost, and other factors.
Since studies are well-vetted before getting funded, studies that sound like they’re simple or useless based on headlines normally make a lot of sense when you read the research results.
At least you don’t have to carry the dog poop home!
How about we steer toward better data privacy in general? Cars are collecting way too much data about us? So is everything else! We need sweeping legislation to claw back our privacy. We need a constitutional amendment guaranteeing a right to privacy.
