  • I don’t know about irreversibly, but the remarkable and consistent gains in solar technology especially are extremely exciting.

As soon as one of these prototype next-gen batteries hit, that’s it for fossil fuel.

It’s already not worth it to continue using fossil fuel commercially, but as soon as the next-gen power storage is able to be produced on scale, power plants are changing, phones, computers, cars, everything’s going to change.

I can’t see that being more than a decade out, but even if nexgen battery tech doesn’t hit, the constant improvement on s***** traditional battery tech now is improving rapidly.

It is a very exciting time and energy production and storage.

  • Update: thank you for pointing out to me which community this was posted on.

I’m going to leave this post up as a cautionary tale for people like me who don’t pay enough attention!

But Linux is cool cuz it’s so fast and it doesn’t break.

Long as I’ve been using it anyway.

So now linux is going to be much slower, going to break and be more susceptible to security breaches?

I’m not a programmer, is the upside supposed to be that with so many more programmers able to work on the kernel, those issues will be able to be fixed by the extra programmers?

It’s not like there’s anything wrong with Linux right now.

  • Whooooa yusss, all clover lawns are welcome. That’s awesome.

That’s good to know that your dad was able to put it in so simply too.

Wow! It looks so lush for 3 weeks since, that’s amazing.

I heard about alternative lines a while ago and decided I didn’t want grass, but I had never considered clover and that seems pretty great

    Oh wowwwww.

Was it grass before and you had to tear that up first?

Did the Clovers propagate by themselves after you put in a few patches?

Tell me as much of the story as possible if you have the time and inclination.

Also, do you take naps on the clovers and does it stain your clothes?

It’s difficult for me to imagine having a clover lawn and not sleeping on it.

You just go outside and grab some clovers to cook sometimes and stuff haha.

    Do pests live in there?

I want to live under the clover roof.

    Oh it looks so nice.
