My daughter has just written her bachelor thesis. For that, she had to compare a bunch of papers and studies about a number of sub-topics related to her thesis topic. For one such point, there were only two studies to be found in the world. Both from renowned scientists and universities, both looking sound regarding their methods, both having comparably large data sets, and they both came to completely opposite conclusions. After a talk with her thesis advisor, she dropped this sub-topic and the studies from her thesis.

I’ll wait and see if they manage to get embedded system debugging to work properly. What I’ve seen in the past has been a pain in the you-know-what in that regard, showing clearly that their main focus was PCs.

Who is watching YT videos through this app? I occasionally run into it when clicking on a link on my phone, but I close it before the ads are through. Because it has become nearly as much ads as content, and is completely unbearable. If the video seem important or interesting, I may forward the link to my PC, where I can watch the video without ads.

There are GSM modems that can be used by the server to send an SMS. I nearly bought one when it was cheap, but noticed just in time that the GSM level of that device was 3, which is no longer available here. And it needs a valid Sim card to work.

Looks like the quality of the Boeing space department has caught up with their planes…

It is not the first time that Boeing did something space-related for the military or NASA. The big difference is that while on earlier contracts they just asked for more money time and again, this time they are on a fixed budget and have to show results before getting paid.

And they cannot claim it was not enough money to get people up and down safely. From the same pot, SpaceX got about half as much as Boeing got. Boeing cried foul about this “wasting” money on an unexperienced upstart! And now look where both companies are with their project: SpaceX is happily going up and down like an elevator, and Boeing, with twice the money and years of delay, launched people into space with a known-defekt spaceship.

After all those issues, I am not sure if I would want to travel back to earth in that Boeing contraption.

From the picture I’d say that you won’t need a caliper to see that their tolerances are nearly as large as the bricks themselves…

I fail to see where those bricks are “LEGO like” in any way. They are rough bricks, not even sufficiently molded to appear regular.
