Yes. Making videos is a job and the creators need money to eat and remain housed, it’s reasonable for them to want to be compensated for their work.

Politics are as subjective as the right to privacy. There isn’t a hard logical truth to it, it’s what people think is moral. Considering that, and considering that right-wing billionaires aren’t known for being friendly to privacy, I think it’s fine to bring politics into this discussion.
Some of these proposals are really interesting. I think it would be neat if China had a more vibrant flag design, the red banner with yellow stars is a bit plain.
It truly is disgusting that they’ve made this model. Tinder has always been severely flawed in my opinion, but this makes it several times worse.
No problem, I look forward to trying it. Thanks for continuing development, Boost was my favorite Reddit app!
I’m currently getting an error about missing my TOTP token. Have you implemented 2-factor authentication support?
A few places have so many stray cats that if you want one you can go outside and grab one (after checking it for a collar or chip). That’s what this comic is referencing.
As a note, there are also instances available that are not on join-lemmy. For example, my instance lemmy.thesanewriter.com is open for sign ups but not yet on join-lemmy.
Indeed. As long as you have a DNS name available it’s pretty easy to roll an instance, lemmy-ansible will do the work for you.
Honestly, I think anything involving any sort of cat is welcome here, especially that very good cat in a perfectly sized box.
Ah, it looks so comfy!
Something like that, or potentially some jerk with a knack for technology who’s decided to use their abilities to be an ass.
The comments still seem to be generating, so I’m able to see them. Great work on your instance @ruud@lemmy.world, you’re handling your tenure as Lemmy’s largest instance extremely well!
Nope, but I’m leaning toward the side of caution. If the super-conductor is real it will be shown as such within a few weeks and will be revolutionary, and if not I’ll be less disappointed if I’ve steeled myself to the possibility.
It’s a shame that it so far seems that this superconductor experiment was a bust, but even still, I’m happy to see the scientific process at work.
If you have a strong relationship with your manager you might want to bring it up with them, even if it’s just to ask that you and her get placed on different shifts. People like this are awful and while they can change they often won’t, and even then the only one who can choose whether or not they improve as a person is them. If nothing improves, you might want to consider alternate work. Don’t make yourself miserable at a single workplace, when it comes to service jobs there are always positions open.
They do the job but they are clunkier to use and use significantly more memory and processing power than the primitive data types. Use them if you need them, but don’t use them when a primitive would do the job just as well.
I would be inclined to agree with you if they didn’t get rid of Premium Light. I think charging users for avoiding ads is completely reasonable, we live in a Capitalist country and video hosting isn’t cheap. Even still, axing Premium Light shows a desire to screw over users in order to achieve more profit, which in my mind makes YouTube scummy.
