I took ZERO offense my friend, your original comment absolutely put a smile on my face :)
This looks amazing. But it also reminds me of Hamburger Helper, in which case it’s still amazing.
Fair.
I might be drunk and hungry, for the record.
Also fair.
Those are all great follow-up tips on the making-of. I really appreciate you being so detailed in the thread on your process and how it turned out, it’s always good to get an inside look at the breakdown of what went right or wrong.
Thanks! I usually do a prime rib, but decided to switch it up this year and do pastas. I made this, a mac & cheese, and some crab dip as an appetizer. I’m still bursting at the seems 12 hours later, but it was worth it.
This looks fantastic! Excellent job with a very tricky recipe :)
This was a one meal kind of day, but I’m not about to look up the calorie count any time soon.
Total was $30. Cheaper than Five Guys and most restaurant meals, but that’s more indicative of how bad prices are in general than this place specifically
To be fair, it was exactly $30, but with the current exchange rate you’d only be paying about €29! It’d be a bargain at twice the price!
Regardless, well played!
Couldn’t get the lowered zero on mine. I appreciate you getting the math joke though :)
ℵ0 Guys
It’s at least Ten Guys when comparing quality of burger products.
Only if you continue to not visit places like this for lunch.
It was perfect and soft, just right for a crispy chicken sandwich and a juicy burger.
A place called The Whole Ox. It’s in Northern Virginia, and I can’t recommend it enough if you’re looking for quality meats and home cooked goodies. They have soups, pasta sauces, sausages, and even side dishes that come in little pine boxes that you can slide right into the oven to bake.
It’s my 1 seed when it comes to getting main dishes like prime rib or turkey for my holiday meals, and their frozen stuff is great to break out for mid-week deliciousness that’s low effort.
Just ONE.
I’ve done this in the past, and will do so in the future! The biscuits make a great substitute for a crust, and if you bake it just right, it can make a crispy top as opposed to tasting too much like chicken and dumplings.
This was kind of a thrown together thing, but I’ll try my best!
