Factorio!! This work week has been hell and I have a week PTO starting Monday. So time to put in some effort in an asynchronous multi-player game with a friend.

No Man’s Sky is doing a Halloween event, too, so I might play around in that to get some unique cosmetics. And the Expeditions usually have a tailored experience that’s always fun.

I’ve been playing Papers Please in the 30 min or so I have for gaming in the evenings lately. I might play more of that to see if I can get all the endings.

Unless the weather is nice. Then I’m going fishing.

No Man’s Sky or Elite: Dangerous might offer you a stellar exploration experience you would enjoy over Starfield.

No RPG elements in either, though.

Whisky or bourbon pair SO WELL with fruits of many sorts. I’m on a big bourbon and grapefruit kick making Brown Derby’s, bourbon palomas, that sorta thing.

Ah Paradox is finding their model of releasing unfinished games and getting around to solving it later less appealing!

That is a little disappointing, actually, as Paradox made some damn good games this way. Crusader Kings 2, Hearts of Iron 4 and Stellaris were all made like that.

Katz pastrami is some of the best, imo. I’m sure you can find a small Jewish deli that does a better one off the beaten path, but it’s hard to beat Katz!

I just throw em in with whatever beans are next in line. It occurs to me now, though, I could espresso grind them and save it for some dessert…

English ivy may grow better in Kentucky soil than Kent chalk, but I’m not familiar with that in the way I am kudzu.

Life by You’s cancelation was a big disappointment to hear. I figured if any studio had an understanding of emergent intercharacter storytelling in the way a Sims game needed, it was Paradox.

That said, Para-Lives is still in the works and looks quite promising.

Buddy if I buy Panther Marten lures off Ali Express or from Dicks they come from the same factory in the same packaging at the same quality, but one costs $1.12 and the other $7.99.

Huawei is making some seriously impressive stuff for a decent price, just wish I could get it in the States.

I haven’t seen an impact when I have a sore throat, but I’ve read coffee is a natural expectorant, so I make sure to drink it when I’ve got chest congestion.

But, to be honest, I’m always drinking it so who knows if it’s helpful.

I think the current economic and political system is failing a vast majority of Americans and like other authoritarian demagogues in the past, Trump misattributes that problem in ways that resonate with the bigotry and racism that exists in American culture.

America has had a long history of nationalism and exploitation that leaves it ripe for cherishing those values and minimizing critical thinking about current structures and questioning how those really only benefit the rich and powerful.
